The Sands of Iraq
This poem is dedicated to my son: Seth Blake Brown-Chadwick

To keep me from you they will try.
The wind will blow; The sand will fly.
I will Fight till the day arrives
For me to come home, or for me to die.
I am a soldier, in an Army of one.
I'll Fight for freedom, till victory's won.
I love my country; I love its Flag!
The sands of Iraq, can't hold me back.
With the Lord as my strength, to my avail,
Freedom will triumph where dictators fail.
May the Lord watch over me, till I can come
To the Land of the Free, to see you, my son.

(and proud of it!)
In his spare time, and there
isn't much of that, this
soldier proudly took a
moment to explain life to
his son. Thanks for letting
me post it Earl!
