This is my daughters trying to read my copy of "After Midnight"
I have just finished reading one of Ms. Medeiros' new books entitled "After Midnight". Despite the frustration of having a copy that was missing almost 40 pages, I continued on with the story and was drawn deep into the lives of her characters Caroline, Vivienne and Portia. The three Cabot sisters were quite the picture of prim and proper ladies one moment and off trying to discover the existence of vampires the next! Of course not without the help of the two male characters Adrian and Julian Kane. I would highly recommend anyone picking up a copy of it at a store today. As you can see from the pictures, I am the mother of a two year old and a six month old daughter and I am already making them fans of Ms. Medeiros!
I have been reading Ms. Medeiros books for a couple of years now. My absolute favorite was "A Breath of Magic". I have read that book over and over again, revisiting it once a year at least like an old friend.
I contacted Ms. Medeiros a couple of weeks ago via email and wrote her about my frustration of getting a copy of her book that was missing almost 40 pages. To my surprise she responded! She sent me a terribly sweet email in the midst of how busy she is writing her new novel. Thank you again Ms. Medeiros if you are ever visiting this page, you really made my year by your kindness to a long time fan.
