Receive Eternal Life

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction. (Proverb 1:7)

Salvation:

1. Know you have sinned: "Thou shalt have no other gods before me... Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image... [and] not bow down to them nor serve them... Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain... Remember the sabbath day to keep it holy... Honour they father and mother... Thou shalt not kill. Thou shalt not commit adultery. Thou shalt not steal. Thou shalt not bear false witness... Thou shalt not covet..." (Exodus 20) "All have sinned and come short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23)

2. Know the penalty of sin: "The soul that sinneth, it shall die." (Ezekiel 18:4 & 20) "The wages of sin is death..." (Romans 6:23a) "But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death." (Revelation 21:8)

3. Know God's remedy for sin: "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8) "For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him." (2 Corinthians 5:21)

4. Receive Christ: "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." (Romans 10:9-10) "He that hearteh my [Jesus'] word, and beliveth on him that sent me [Jesus], hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life." (John 5:24) "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast." (Ephesians 2:8-9) "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name." (John 1:12) The responsibility of every true believer is to share the truth with all those who do not believe. "Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men..." (2nd Corinthians 5:11a) All will be left without excuse on the Day of Judgment. None will be able to stand before God and give any reason why they could not have accepted the truth to which their conscience has testified. (See Romans 1:18-21) There are many in this world that call themselves Christian because they attend a "Christian" church. But, attending a church makes you no more a Christian than walking into a garage makes you a car. The true Christian message is one of faith (in Christ), not of works... one of belief (that by God's grace through repentant faith in Christ alone can one be saved from Death and eternity in the Lake of Fire, that the Lord Jesus Christ makes available free salvation by paying our sin debt), not of ritual.

It is my sincere prayer that you take this opportunity to have any questions answered and place your complete and total dependence Christ Jesus for forgiveness of sins. Nothing you can ever do can make God overlook even one sin. He will give you the righteousness of Christ if you only believe on Him.
