friday, 10.03.03 :: oops! i haven't posted in a while. this site needs a new layout, that's for sure. too much
to do..
this week has been pure craziness. i'll start with last weekend, since i forgot to update
after then. on friday i went to the pike and had a lotta fun. krispy kreme hats!! crystal
and i ran around wearing our krispy kreme hats, shouting and causing trouble. i think we
looked hot, thats why everyone was staring, but christine and kelly said they were
embarassed to be seen with us. i went out again on saturday, and that was alright. it
was good to see some people i haven't seen in a while. we met this guy with the nicest
car ever. if i knew more about cars i could tell you all the stuff, but i do know it had
a big tank of nitrous and pioneer head units.
my mentorship started yesterday. it was great getting out of school at 12:30, but that is
pretty much the only good part. it was an adventure driving over there, let me tell ya. once
we found trinity and parked and walked through campus to the building, we were 20 minutes
late. i felt bad because the professor was standing in the lobby waiting for us the whole
time. she seems nice, but a little intimidating since she is a professor and all. then she showed us around the buildings, and we saw the transmission
and scanning electron microscopes. she lectured like the whole time, which might sound boring,
but some stuff was pretty interesting. i've never learned so much stuff in so short of a time.
after learning the basics (basics!?!) about how electron microscopes actually work, we used the scanning electron microscope to look at a mouse's lungs. the magnification is so
high that you can see the red blood cells. after that we looked at a butterfly's wing and took some pictures.
and by that time, which was like 3:30, it was time to leave. i got home around 4 to find out that the power was out
and i couldn't get into my house. finally, after rumaging around outside, i found a key and got in.
then it was time for key club. i snuck out before it started, which saved me about an hour.
oh my god, guess who's back? limp bizkit!! after two years, they came out with a kickass cd, results may vary. its amazing. pure awesomeness. fred durst is a genius. maybe they don't need wes borland after all. i have to go babysit but i'll post more later.
thursday, 09.25.03 :: you know whats scary? i got my final list of colleges all set and ready to go tonight, and i registered them at college board for my scores to be sent out. it's pretty crazy to look at this list and know that i'm gonna be at one of these places for the next four years. i'm probably going to apply to all eight of them, but there are two that i'm still not 100% sure about. seven of the eight accept the common application, which is good because i only have to fill out two applications rather than eight. i'm so ready to get out of here... less than a year left...
jun won big brother! go jun. and this is random, but the rumor is 50 cent moved to somewhere here in ct. what did i tell you, gangstas are taking over the state. first the radio, now this.
my mentorship at trinity starts next week. i haven't heard back from the doctor yet, but hopefully i won't be there for more than two hours every other day. i'm kind of nervous about driving into hartford all the time though, because its a little dangerous. when i was on crew we used to practice at trinity and yeah.. once you get on the campus its fine. kristen will be with me, so thats a plus. other than that, not too much going on. party saturday night, maybe.
saturday, 09.20.03 :: tonight we had a surprise party for stacie's birthday.. and she really was suprised, she had no idea. we kindapped her and blindfolded her and drove around until we decided to go to ron-a-roll, this skating rink. i haven't been there since i was like 9. it was funny driving around, because people would drive by and see a car full of people with a girl whos blindfolded and she would roll down the window and scream "hellllpppp! somone help me!!!" we did get the attention of quite a few people, including some hot guys. i'm surprised no one called the police on us. i'm gonna go because its almost 2am and im exhausted from today. ya'll are crazy.
wednesday, 09.17.03 :: what is happening to the music? first the riaa, now radio 104 is gone. agh. yesterday morning while driving to school i go to turn on our modern rock station and i hear some gay rap song about bitches and hoes playing.
lol, i shouldn't say that because i love rap too, but come on. hip hop has officially and completely taken over the airwaves here.
school has been busy as usual. as much as i complain about c.i. and how much it sucks, i really do feel a lot more up on my political knowledge already. i've never really taken the time to learn about politics and the us's foreign policy with all these regions around the world, and i'm kinda glad i'm being forced to do it. did i really just admit that?
yesterday's episode of the o.c. was so good. well, i thought so. its good that marissa caught luke at the club in tijuana with holly. now maybe her and ryan will hook up, finally, except she has that whole drug overdose in a dark ally in the streets of mexico thing going on. good stuff.
how funny was ms miceli and the class arguing today in math? my classes are so disfunctional.

thursday, 09.04.03 :: yo what up. yesterday maria came over and we worked on our math project. hi maria if you
read this. after we finished we remembered crew started, so we drove to the marina
and spied on the crew people. well sort of, from her car. she drove around and i stuck
my head out the moon roof. i miss crew a lot, but i know i wouldn't have the energy or the
time to do it this year with mentorship and everything. today i had the first part of this
huge research project due for mentorship. literally half the class didn't show up because
they stayed up all night doing it and probably still didn't finish. i was pretty surprised
though, because our teacher suddenly decided he's taking off 50% of the grade for each
day it's late. that means even if you do alllll that work, the highest grade you can get
is an F. that sucks. so anyway, tonight i had a key club meeting and then i stopped at
the store. exciting, i know. oh i almost forgot! this brightened up my day soo much
yesterday. for those of you that have been reading a while, remember the family that i used
to babysit for that moved to boston? well i randomly got a phone call from max and maddie,
the kids i babysat, it was so great! they're only 2 and 4 years old. but anyway, max
was telling me all about baseball and the red sox and the yankees. he's so smart - he
knows all the scores and the players' names and stuff. so cute :) hopefully if i go visit
schools around boston i can stop by and visit max and maddie. alright, i should go and finish
up my reading. hebron fair this weekend, maybe?

saturday, 08.30.03 :: the first week of school is done. it's not so bad being a senior. i mean, already i've had a ton of research projects and term papers and community service and a mentorship and college stuff thrown in my face, but just knowing that i'll be out of here in a year makes it all
worth it.
oh my god, did you guys watch the vma's? my jaw literally hit the floor when britney and madonna kissed. the look on justin timberlake's face was priceless. i liked 50 cent's
and mary j blige's performances, they were awesome. and missy elliott finally got an award! she deserved it.
i'm going to the dave matthews concert in a few hours.. i hope it doesn't rain! this is my third year going, i think, but my first year on the lawn. if you're going to the concert, holla! maybe i'll see ya there.
monday, 08.25.03 :: wish me luck for my first day of school! at 7:25 am tomorrow morning, i will be sitting in the ghs auditorium in my first class of senior year, ci (current issues). it's the class i'm most scared about. all seniors have it at the same time, so there are around 500 of us in
there. it's supposed to be like a college lecture course. after that, i don't really know what classes i have because i lost my schedule. i mean i know what ones, just not what order or where they are. i'll get a new one tomorrow morning though. the best thing about being a senior is being able to drive to school :) i've been looking forward to it for three years now. i know that i'm going to miss this summer so much, i miss it already! i just keep reminding myself about all the things to look forward to. i get to catch up with the rest of my friends that i didn't hang out with over the summer. i need to go work on my summer reading, since i'm not even half way done with my first book. i'm not gonna stress about finishing though, i'm just hoping my british literature teacher will forget about it.
thursday, 08.21.03 :: five days left of freedom... this year is going to be different, though, because we're seniors!
i went back to school shopping on sunday. well, it was supposed to be a quick stop at the mall to return stuff but it turned into a shopping spree. i got some really cute stuff at express, i love that store. i stopped at ae and hollister, but i didn't really see anything. as it is, i spent way too much money at express anyway. while i was there, i talked to the girl that works there about uconn. she told me what dorms to get into and all that stuff, it was good info. it looks like that's where i might go :)
on tuesday i spent the entire day cleaning out my closet. i have no clue how i possibly had so much stuff crammed in there. clothes everywhere. sleeping bags. boxes. toys from when i was a little kid. backbacks. shopping bags. then i went through all my clothes and folded them and organized them by season. i'm now proud to say that i have the cleanest closet in the whole world!
since i did all that cleaning, my mom let me go out last night. we were hangin out with this guy my friend likes and a bunch of his friends, and all the sudden this girl comes up and starts slapping the shit out of some guy. the guy was pretty drunk, so he couldn't really stop her. turns out he is her ex boyfriend and he treated her really bad, so he deserved it. it was pretty funny. anyway, one of the guys there was soooo hot. i'm talkin abercrombie model material. i hope we hang out with him again!

sunday, 08.17.03 :: what's goin on with this blackout? hopefully everything's fixed now. a lot of people didn't have power here in the northeast, but luckily i still did. i can't imagine being stuck in a subway or an elevator in ny.. that would be freakay. and no ac in this heat!? i would die.
not a whole lot has happened since my last post, mostly since i'm grounded for like the rest of the summer (which is only about a week). as usual, my mom freaked out because i didn't want her taking my car to go out on friday. she knew i had plans.. she has her own car dammit. right after she grounded me and left (in her own car- i won, sort of!) i hopped into the shower and got ready to go out. i was just like screw it - only two weekends of summer left. so i cruised over to the usual spot, the pike. let me just say
that i've never seen so many nice cars like that in my life. there were a whole lot of hot guys too. everyone was hangin out in all the parking lots and shit and you couldn't even get a parking place. the minute a cop comes though, everyone flies outta there to the next spot. so that was my friday night yo.
tonight i'm just chillin. i did some pilates and i just got off the phone with my friend who is on vacation in nj. now i'm on the phone with my other friend who sounds a little fucked up, she's at a party right now. don't worry, i'm making sure she doesn't drive home. if you read this far then go register here. so basically i might go to boston for a day this week,

sunday, 08.10.03 :: if you are visitor #40000 let me know! last night we drove around and ended up sitting in this big huge monster truck. this thing was raised so freakin high. they had to pick us up and lift us into it. then this mean cop came and decided he was going to camp out until the truck tried to leave, and then he would impound it. greattt. the only way the truck could leave legally would be to get the tailgate thing down to 48 inches or something like that. i think we should have pulled a fast and the furious move and had all the guys in the parking lot get in their cars and block the police car, but then again a monster truck driving down the highway is a little obvious. just a little. when we left they were still there, so i'm not sure what happened.

friday, 08.08.03 :: it's a friday night. what am i doing? sitting here staring at the computer. i got grounded for the night and my mom took my car. dammit! i could be out cruisin with my friends right now. but the good thing is, i directed all that bad energy into creating a new layout. finally, one i'm satisfied with. it will probably be up tonight. this grounded thing isn't so bad.. i'm sitting here listening to 311 and designing, two of my favorite things. i'm gonna go out and have some fun tomorrow night though!
thursday, 08.07.03 :: soo tired. need sleep. did anyone see the o.c.? that show is hot. tuesdays at 9 et. omg today is already thursday. last night i went out. this morning i worked from 10 to 2. i had to build these file cabinet things and then move all the files from one to another. my hands are permanently bright red and full of cuts - ouch! each one weighed like a hundred pounds. then i came home, ate lunch, and crashed. now i'm getting ready to go see a play, footloose? i dunno, i usually get bored at plays, they're not really my thing. hopefully it will be entertaining though. oh yeah, i'm a little behind in email's, sorry if i don't get back to you right away. sunday, 08.03.03 :: some idiot rear-ended my new car. it's not bad or anything, there are these two little dents right underneath eachother. the dealership said it was definitely done on purpose, probably because it's new. mean people suck. when i first got the car, my mom was being really mean about it. all she'd do is complain and shit.. and now everytime i turn around the car is gone. she drives it everywhere. when i ask her about it, she says that it's not my car. wtf! i know i should be grateful for getting it and everything, but i hate when she drives it. she leaves her shiat everywhere and she rides the brakes soooo bad. that person probably rear ended it when my mom was driving because she doesn't know how to drive. either that or when it was parked. lol i know i sound like a spoiled brat right now, but that car is my baby! too bad i didn't get manual transmission..

saturday, 07.26.03 :: tonight was fun.. except for the part where we almost died.. omg. there were soo many sweet cars out. we went ridin around and somehow ended up in cromwell in some guy's eclipse spider convertible (2 fast 2 furious!). we flew past a cop and he did a u-turn right behind us.. we were like holy crap.. but he didn't come after us. so at the end of the night when we were coming home, we went flying up this road and all the sudden this wrangler goes to pull out from the left in front of us and we couldn't stop. holy shit if we didn't lay on the horn there would have been a huge accident.. he was headed right for where my friend was sitting. he swerved off to the side at the last second, thank goodness. but other than that it was fun. i might go clubbing tomorrow night, *all ages night* hehe, we'll see.

yay! my computer is still alive and kickin. i try not to be on during storms because a couple of past modems have gotten fried. i live right near a river, so we always get a lot of lightning. i love thunderstorms though!
my sleep schedule has been so messed up lately. even at three a.m. i lay there and stare at the cieling; i don't fall asleep until morning.. then i sleep until eleven or twelve. man, it's gonna suck when i have to get up at 5:30 or 6 for school.
recently i've been getting back into pilates. i have this bodyband pilates video that's pretty good. it comes with three different bodybands, each with a different level of
resistance. i'm not really that flexible though, and some of the moves are more for gymnast/dancer type people who can like put there feet over their head. well, maybe not that hard but you get the idea. pilates is very relaxing and it's a good stress reliever too, i recommend it.
i can't believe michelle got evicted from the big brother house tonight. seriously, the vote was six to two! the whole point of even putting her up for nomination was to get that biatch erika out of the house. what the hell happened? michelle is so nice. also, it's pretty ironic that dana won head of household tonight since she just found out that no one likes her and everyone wants her out. now she gets to kick someone out. that sucks for everyone else! lol, so much drama.

monday, 07.21.03 :: i spent yesterday at the beach, it was great. i floated around in the ocean on a raft, it was so relaxing. then we walked down the beach and went to the little store they have there. i got a sunburn and i didn't even notice until a minute ago but i got stung by a jellyfish. i have this big purple spot on my leg thats really itchy. ahh! i think i'll go put vinegar on it.
i missed watching the golf champs, but apparently some unheard of american beat stars like tiger woods and took home the one million dollars. good for him, tiger wins too much anyway. this is random, but on the sports page i just read about some man in a kilt who ran out onto the british grand prix raceway during the 12th lap waving a sign about the bible. ha, too bad he didn't get run over at 180 mph. that would be pretty funny.
saturday, 07.19.03 :: hey ;) new layout is up. i hope everything is loading ok. i'm glad that the popup error doesn't show up in this one. i rushed to get everything done tonight because i'm going to the beach tomorrow. my extended family has some cottages there, and it just so happens that my friend does too. she's having a party so it should be fun. i guess we're gonna meet some more friends there too. i love the beach! i'll be back on monday <3
thursday, 07.17.03 :: the receptionist thing really wasn't that bad. ok, maybe a little. i answered the phones and relayed all the calls and listened to peoples problems. then i did some paperwork. i also mastered minesweeper beginner, intermediate, and sort of expert, and also mastered solitaire. i read two issues of u.s. news and seventeen magazine cover to cover. it was a long day, but i survived. yay! tonight we drove around but there weren't many hot guys. i've already put 250 miles on my car in three days. is that a lot? i don't really know, but it sounds like a lot. but so far so good - no accidents and no tickets. i'm actually not that tired right now. i think it's from all the caffeine. that's probably why i'm rambling. yeah..

right now i'm trying to download the songs from evolver, the new cd by 311. every song is blank and it's pissing me off. those dumbfucks on kazaa don't know what the hell they're doing! lol j/k.

monday, 07.14.03 :: i can't wait to get my new car tonight. when i was test driving it on saturday, i hit a huge pot hole as i was getting onto the highway. i was like, "oh shit! i'm glad this isn't my car!" ha, turns out it is. i hope i didn't screw up the alignment or anything.

thursday, 07.10.03 :: fairfield university was so pretty. the people were friendly, the campus was gorgeous, the arquitecture was amazing.. i love it. the drive down there was so nostalgic because when my aunt used to live in new canaan, we would go visit all the time. i remembered so many little things, like the singing bridge, the tunnel, the views. when we were coming home, the traffic was really bad because of all the people from new york city. that's a plus about fairfield - 15 minute train to nyc.
tomorrow i'm planning on going to west farms and shopping (haven't been there in ages!), then to the coolest restaurant ever - rainforest cafe. and hopefully this weekend i'll go to the car dealership.. *crosses fingers* i need my own car!!
wednesday, 07.09.03 :: this morning i woke up early to go take my senior pictures. i swear to god i'm the least photogenic person on the planet. at least we get to choose from 10 or 20 photos this year. ha, like that will help any.
tomorrow i'm gonna head up to fairfield university for another college tour. i don't think i'd mind going to school there, the parties on the beach sound awesome. i think any college will be better than the piece of crap known as ghs :p i'm gonna go put on my jammies and chill out for a while. 1 <3

we did end up going to the piercing studio yesterday. after finally finding it, we went in and it was actually nicer than the others i've been to. the girl was really friendly and everything. but like i guessed, she wouldn't do it because we aren't 18. dammit. she said we could come back with a parent and then she would do it. yeah, like that will happen. oh well, we'll figure something out.
the premier of big brother is tonight. i've been looking forward to seeing it all year! i watch that show every summer. lol, i'm such a dork, but i think it's a good show.
sunday, 07.06.03 :: i just got back from the movie 28 days later. it was strange, kind of like the blair witch project. the plot had so much potential to be a wicked scary movie, but i just sat there waiting and waiting for the scary part. the characters were superficial. it was almost like a scary movie cliche. i don't want to ruin it, but anyway, go see it if you want.
so i'm planning on going to a piercing studio tomorrow that a lot of people my age have gone to, and hopefully they will do it. eek! i'm not nervous now, but i know when they pull out that huge long needle i'll be nervous. it shouldn't be too bad though.
friday, 07.04.03 :: what up b? i've had this site for a couple days now; i think it's going pretty good so far. i don't remember what i did yesterday. this morning i sat outside for a while, it was hotter than hell. i'd say close to 100 in the sun. damn sun. but i got a tan ;) then i drove a bazillion miles over to the mall. my senior pictures are next week, so i needed to find a long sleeve shirt. let me tell ya, there's not many long sleeved shirts in july. i went into charlotte russe, no luck there. then i walked around in gap, and there in the corner i found one just as i was about to give up. i actually like it. i also bought some other shirts and a really cute purse. it's like the 1833874th purse i've gotten, but i don't care i love it. we're getting hollister at our mall in a few months! how awesome is that. then i came home and burned the best hip hop cd ever and now i can't stop listening to it. i would love to be a dj. so tomorrow im doin some boring shiat in the morning, but at night i'm gonna party it up. sweeet.
