the commencement
Welcome! children (and possibly a few searching adults) to my website. I created this young plant on a whim, but that seed so random from which this site has sprung forth has been admittedly soiled, wet and nutured for some time -- hitherto, I simply had no patience to respond to its call.

Yet here we sit, free from the constraining logistics of DeadJournal, Xanga and other popular blogs with social(ized), regimented structures. With the little re-searching I've done I see this as the easiest and best forum both time and interest will permit me to construct for my dear beloved audience's viewing pleasure. Let me underscore the last component of the latter sentence.

As the Reverend Marilyn Manson recently was quoted in an interview (Las Vegas Review Journal, July 2003), "Art can't stand on its own. ... The reaction is just as important as the creation. ... If you're not making something for other people to experience, then I don't think that's art. That's more self-indulgence." To assure you, I will not agonize over each sentence or comma; nor do I view a higher benefit in crafting some fictional character and attaching to him my angelfire web address and name. That established, entertainment is the game, and on this site I encourage (rather, demand) readers to interpret merely as such. Exaggerations in thinking patterns--or random Eureka! moments--will likely be a ..well, a motif. There will be joy, smiles, sarcasm, death, melancholy possibly, religion probably, and maybe some new and fresh or second hand anecdotes. Time will tell.

I'll probably end up following the footsteps of Brit Sherman to whom I (and indirectly anyone who enjoys this page, should such a hypothetical person exist) am indebted for the founding of this page--and a very good friendship that has spanned the course of six plus years, two towns, and several miles of bike riding. Her various sites, which have endured years of transformations, have included relevent personal information and clarity that have always made fun those host of unoccupied (however preoccupied) moments of the day spent at the boobscreen.

The dice have been cast. One is yours, one is mine. I will write, and you can play off my moves. This site is for you, do with it what you chance.
