Josh is my friend from playgroup. He was born on the same day as me. Infact, we were both born in the same hospital within an hour of each other. (I'm the oldest by about 45 minutes!) Even if we grow up and never see each other again, Josh will always be a special friend because we shared our first birthday together.

Here are blown up pictures of Josh and I when we were first born. We had the party guests try to figure out who was who. Most people guessed wrong. (In case you don't know, I'm the cutie on the left!)
Here are a few of the baby friends that were at my party ~ Derrick, Sean, Dante, Bryn, and Arden. Unfortunately, some of our playgroup friends couldn't make it because they were sick with the flu. I was hoping to meet my new baby cousin, Taylor Susanne, but she too was sick. Poor babies, they missed out on a really fun time!
There was plenty of cake to go around. The really big cake was decorated with Sesame Street characters and was chocolate and vanilla inside. Josh and I each had our very own individual cake so we could stick our hands in it and make a big mess. We got to have our cake and eat it, too!
All my baby guests received party favors in a party bag decorated with fall leaves. Inside it was a Snoopy sippy cup, a toy feeding spoon (for eating ice cream), and a party bib for messy cake consumption. Everyone also received a ballon with a miniature scarecrow sitting on a swing attached. Everybody said they loved the fall decorations and party favors!
Mommy's good friend, Kassondra, stopped by the party on her way to work. She gave me this firetruck that talks and drives on its own. All the babies loved playing with it, especially Arden! I was a good boy and shared my toys. (Santa, are you listening?)
What cute packages ~ it was a shame to have to rip all that pretty wrapping paper. My baby friends gave me several wonderful toys and books.
My Papa and Nana sent me several packages from San Diego. They were full of books! I almost need my own library to store them all. My favorite book is the Touch and Feel Kitten book. The fur is so fun to pet and the scratchy pink tongue is so rough! Dini would never let me touch her tongue! They also sent me all sorts of videos from Aunt Sharon and Uncle Frank. I can't wait to watch the Disney ones!
Buscia and Aunt Kathy were so thoughtful. They sent me nice birthday cards with money. Poor Buscia is recuperating from surgery, but she still managed to draw a funny clown on my card!
Taylor Susanne's family gave me two really cute outfits. One is a football outfit and the other has a cute pup tent on the shirt. When you lift the flap on the tent, you see a puppy!
When Mommy's friend Emily came to visit, she also gave me presents. One is a University of Texas blue denim jumper. Hook 'em, horns! The other gift is The Jungle Book video. Emily said it was her favorite when she was little. I'm sure it will be a favorite of mine, too!
Dini just gave me lots of love and kisses (oops, I mean hisses) for my birthday! I'm such a lucky and blessed baby boy!
Daddy and I think birthday parties and being one are so much fun! Thanks for being the best Daddy a boy can have ~ the past year has been the greatest!
I may be a big boy now, but I still need my naps. All this partying can really be tiring. I really slept good that night. I can't wait until next year when I'll be two years old!
