Happy Birthday, David!

Born November 19th at 3:13 am at 6 pounds, 10 ounces and 19 1/2 inches long.

Labor Day

On November 18th Mommy and Daddy went to the doctor for a prenatal checkup. During an ultrasound they discovered I didn't have much fluid to swim around in so they sent Mommy to Arnold Palmer Hospital for me to be born. They thought I would take several hours to make my entrance into the world, but they were WRONG!

BEST DAY IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD!

Mommy was barely wheeled into the delivery room when I was born. It took only 13 minutes! I was born at 3:13 am which is a good time because 13 is my Daddy's lucky number and he was born on 3/13.

I don't remember much about this event except my Mommy kept saying something strange like "Where's my epidural?"

I was named David after my Daddy, my Papa, and my Great Grandaddy. My other Grandaddy was named Geoffrey so that is my middle name. I also have an uncle named Jeffrey.

I LOVE my Mommy and Daddy! This is the best birthday ever!

It's A Boy!

But then everybody already knew that because of the sonograms. Mommy and Daddy were so thrilled to finally have their bouncing baby boy in their arms.

Lots to Be Thankful For

Here are some photos from the First Thanksgiving (mine, not the Pilgrims). Mommy didn't cook ~ surprise, surprise! They had take out fast food for Thanksgiving dinner. They were just so happy to have their sweet little miracle baby boy that they didn't care what they ate!

Colic?

Am I just a fussy little cry baby or do I have some medical reasons for my unhappiness? Check out my web page detailing all my medical woes. But first get your hanky ready cause it could make a grown up cry like a baby!

Christmas in Orlando

Auntie Barb came to visit us to help take care of me and celebrate my very first Christmas. I don't think we could have survived without her. She helped with the groceries, made delicious meals, wrapped presents, decorated the Christmas tree, and lots of other great things that only an Aunt would do like change my diapers and rock me to sleep.

Happy New Year!

We had a quiet uneventful New Year's Eve. We mostly just slept a lot which was more than fine with my parents! This was supposed to be the big party of the century, but other than waking up to burp at midnight we didn't do much celebrating. Nonetheless, my parents said it was their best New Year's Eve ever!

No Big Deal

Everyone was in such a panic about something called Y2K, but it turned out to be nothing. They thought computers would malfunction, people would go nuts, and planes would fall out of the sky (thank goodness Mommy was stil on Maternity Leave and didn't have to work). Lots of people took all sorts of unnecessary precautions. About all my parents did was stock up on lots of bottled water.

Some people tried to have babies born on this day. Personally, my parents didn't want to be in any hospitals during this time just in case there was a Y2K bug. And of course, my Daddy had to keep reminding everyone that technically this wasn't the new millinium. Great ~ we can look forward to all this craziness again next year!

A Day of Remembrance

We didn't do very much on Memorial Day. Sometimes this holiday makes my Mommy sad because her Daddy died on Memorial Day twenty years ago.
