We will continue with this discussion.

METHODS OF GETTING PHOTOS ONTO YOUR COMPUTER HARD DRIVE (DIGITIZING)

· Any 35mm Camera

· Any Disposable or Reusable 35mm camera

· Scanning prints or 35mm slides

DIGITAL CAMERAS

· Basics of using Digital Cameras

· Downloading pictures from Memory card to the Computer

· Discussion of software to download pictures, manipulate, edit and organize

SOFTWARE TO HANDLE DIGITIZED PHOTOS

· Ulead (Have to buy)

· Picasa (Free download from the Internet)

· I will demonstrate a new FREE program you can download from the Internet from Microsoft called Photo Story 3. (This program provides an easy way to set up a slideshow, edit, narrate, add Music and Burn a CD).

COMPUTER CLASS – CORTEZ LOCATION

We will continue with a session on Friday exploring the following areas:

INTERNET

· Using Outlook Express for Email
· Setting up an address file and using it
· Searching the Internet for things you want to know
· Setting up Favorites

WORD PROCESSING

· Using Microsoft Word show how to set up your Word Processor so that it is user friendly
· Formatting you documents
· Exploring fonts
· Printing and or sending by Email

GREETING CARDS

We will cover making Greeting Cards covering the following areas:

· Using Print Shop we will create personalized hard copy Greeting Cards on the Computer
· We will use pictures that we have stored on the computer
· We will print the card and address the envelope
· We will find Greeting Cards on line and send
