Rape as a reflection of moral decline.

            Crime rates have been on the rise lately. One of the most frequent crime rates that Malaysians are often hearing about now is rape. Rape is depicted as being an actual form of brutality using sex as a weapon over another human. This essay explains how morality is diminishing in this modern society and ways that we can resolve to in order to overcome this immoral society from expanding.

            Movies which were being aired on television last time did not contain any immoralities. The movies which were produced were more of drama and had many cultural stuff in them. However, movies, books and even songs of our era have changed drastically. These entertainment now mostly have unethical doings plugged in to them. Producers are not to be blamed for this is basically the request of the public. It cannot be denied that people love watching movies and reading books with much love making scenes in them. Nevertheless, various crimes occur due to this amusement that everyone are so keen on watching or reading.

            Our society is facing a major moral decline because there are not only murderers and robbers around but also rapists. It is a really serious matter and the government should do something about the increment of rapists in Malaysia. It not only portrays our citizens as barbaric but also treacherous to the society. This of course will affect our country’s economy in some way. Tourists will not dare to visit our country for they are afraid of these numerous rapists around. As a result, our country’s economy will face a major deflation for our economy depend a whole lot on tourists.

            The simplest way to overcome our citizens from being this unruly is that the government should screen through all sorts of entertainments, be it a movie or even a book. All negative outcomes of the entertainment should be censored. By doing so, the government will be able to prevent little children from growing into dangerous adults. Not only will the country be more free of potential rapists but the rape cases by the older range of people as it is now will also be less.

            The punishment in this country on rapists should be more severe. People need to fear the law so that there will be a smooth flow of order in the country. Using the cane is not enough anymore as the rape rates are currently on the rise. This obviously shows that these rapists are not afraid of being canned. Therefore, the law should implement the punishment of hanging or even life sentence with a minimum of 15 strokes of the cane.

            Education plays a huge role in shaping a person. Thus, there should be moral education in all schools and regulation should ensure it. This is because the molding of a human being starts in the early years of development. Consequently, schools play a vital role in the building of a person’s character, behavior as well as his thinking.

            Conclusively, it is undeniable that one of the most imperative ways to decrease the rate of rape in future lies in the implementation of moral values in a human being.
