With Mutiny's devasting win over Capivara, Ewen Preece has made it in the top scorers list for Tasman Div. 2. He has 9 goals and is ranked number 4 in the division. Preece is also the only midfielder to be ranked in the 15 top scorers.
In amazement, Mutiny ties cpk in a friendly match at home. cpk holds some great skilled players but Mutiny was able to hold their ground. Despite all of the injuries and suspensions, Mutiny was able to tie Manchester United and beat Side of Loosers. They are starting to get some form.
Many new players are being signed and transferred to and from Mutiny. Some of the players to go are attacker Barnett, Goalkeeper Powell, and defender Murray. A couple of the recent players to join Mutiny are Goalkeeper Pringle, Midfielder Bone, and Midfielder Smart. The manager states he has a couple more players to sign and release till they will have a full squad.
In the past four matches, Mutiny has failed to win a single one. Their league position is pretty embarassing. Although they have no hopes of being promoted, they certaintly arent expecting to be relegated. A definite factor in the losing streak is team captain Dwight Cheyne being injured for these four matches. He is now back and on the lineup for the next match.
In a league match, Mutiny was crushed by Ponte Preta. This devastating loss, put them into 11th place. In order to regain better position, they must defeat SAF FC in the next league match. A slight cause tto the loss was starting keeper, Lilley, who was injured and also Midfield Captain, Cheyne who looks like he will still be out.
In the first round of cup play, Mutiny defeated Red Hot Gangstars with a 4-3 victory. The game was neck and neck the whole way, until the '87 when Preece heads a cross perfectly into the back of the net. Although they got a victory, The starting keeper and Midfielder Cheyne were injured. Keeper Ronald Lilley is expected to be back next week for league play, though Cheyne looks as though he will be out for a couple more weeks than that. Next round Mutiny plays the New York Nemos, which Mutiny will have to play an unstoppable game to contend with New York Nemos.
This week Mutiny has placed two players on the transfer list and has bought another two. Carbone and Abel are the latest edition to Mutiny's squad and have great talent that can help Mutiny. Carbone is a 29 yr. old left mid with a skill rating of 17. Abel is the only right striker on the team, and has a 17 rating.
