I m inspired by the numerous testimonies i read of people written by their frens. i think it is really quite difficult to write a testimony for a close fren. I m writing this about a jc classmate of mine whom i did not know very well at all.
despite the fact that i did not know much abt S, i would think that it is not very difficult for everyone to like this guy at first sight. cos he is always smiling when u see him, i dunno which normal person can take a look at him and not take an immediate liking. i rem a very rare incident when he tried to scare me with a dead cockcroach on the floor, and i actually was so shocked that i instinctively hit him very hard on the shoulder. Boy it must have hurt, cos even i felt the impact(my hand was stinging with pain). but he was still smiling and not looking the least bit annoyed. even when pple try to irritate him, he just pretends to look annoyed, which is not very convincing becos he still cannot wipe that smile off his face ha. i wonder if this guy has a temper.

i m not the only person who is impressed with S. I was reminded of him becos just the other day, PZ was telling me she met him in school and he was smiling so brightly as if he was extremely happy to see her. such is the feeling of running into S, you are left feeling very happy and cheerful after you meet this guy. He also gives me the feelign that he is very meticulous and considerate. while we were enjoying ourselves during CNY at our form teacher's house, he was the first person who took the initiative to help clean up.

hmmm...is there really such a perfect person? maybe it's cos i dunno him very well at all, that i have such a glowing evaluation of him. i m curious, what would his close frens say abt him?

HK pop
help!!!! i m stuck at home, it always rains in the evening, at the time when i m most dying to go out. Argggh!!! and my kind neighbour treats me to earfuls of HK (read Hokkien) pop every now and then!!!!

haiz why am i sooo stupid? i shld have said yes when he asked me if i wanted his email. why am i such a dunce??? yeah no one is as silly as me to give my number to someone who doesn't need it except to bug me (thankfully that person has got the hint and stopped) and who is more stupid than me to not obtain the email of another person so that i can send him the pictures that i took of him? why am i stooopid? haiz ryan chong kaili, where on earth are you?

came home to find the tank brimming with guppy fries again, what is new? compared to the initial excitement the first time i had baby guppies, the fervour is largely gone. i estimate i must have more than a hundred fries now, lost count liao. what do to with them if they all grow up (i doubt so since there are so many, some are bound to die along the way)

Fire!
as i m typing right now, i can see from my window, a fire occurring in the distance, complete with flames and billowing fumes. i can also hear the sounds of the fire engine. haiz~~ seems like the factories in the Sungei Kadut area are very fire-prone. i suppose it's cos they are mostly timbre factories. real terrible man. i ve witnessed more fires in my two years here than the rest of my life put together :(

has anyone ever wondered what the human consciousness is all about? how come when the human experience is often dominated and driven by negative emotions?
when we are happy, we need to find so many reasons to justify our happiness. the more we try to justify, then the more we feel that actually we aren't as happy as we thought. happiness is such a fleeting emotion, but on the other hand, unhappiness is so concrete. many times, you need a lot of reasons to feel and stay happy. you dun need any reason to be unhappy cos you just are. by virtue of the fact that i m a media student, i wld think a lot of things are in fact attributed to the media. think of the songs you listen to. how many of them are sad songs? but it still boils down to a chicken and egg problem: whether media reflects the human experience or perpetuates it.
sometimes i think i think too much and too far. very few of the people i know articulate how they think or feel at all. worst of all, sometimes a lot of things never cross their minds at all. but then, they still must be thinking about something. everyone must have a unique way of seeing the world. but it seldom comes across, in the mundane conversations of everyday life. so, what's your thinking?

you know you are getting old when you

simply cannot finish that humongous plate of rice even when you started off being very very hungry.

can taste the diff between MSG and non-MSG food.

prone to coughs and colds and memory lapses.

can read the same sentence ten times without understanding what it means.
