We bought this house in April of 2006 and have plans to not only restore much of it but modernize a few things! The house was built in 1913 and the land was originally a dairy farm. It sits atop Stolberg Hill and overlooks Stolberg Lake.. which is now located across a highway! The neighborhood is called Stolberg Addition as it was the original Stolberg farm that was parcelled out to make the neighborhood. The builder was Andrew Stolberg who immigrated to Illinois from Germany by way of New Orleans
