Change of Plans
Well, we're not in Europe. Grace ran into a host of visa problems at the last minute. Our hopes were killed when the Irish postal network decided to go on indefinate strike in protest of their being forced to use a new sorting system that they don't like. Seriously.

Anyway, if anyone in the Cork area wants some plane tickets to Paris, gimme a call.

But we're not just gonna sit on our tails. We have new plans. We'll take an extended trip to Dublin and visit the Ring of Kerry. I'm really excited about something else though. We found out about this 168 km (112 mile) path around the Dingle Peninsula called "The Dingle Way." Anyway, it's an 8 day walk with towns and villages spaced in such a way that you can stay overnight in hostels and B&B's each night. And we're going to totally do it.

Also, I developed 5 rolls of film and I'll scan some choice stuff within the week and put it up on the web.

Whew
I had a lot of visitors this week. My brother and his friend Rob came and stayed with me for the week. Keith stayed for the first part of the week and Austin, James and Jon stuck around for the second part of the week. Exciting new pictures later.

Eurail
Well, Grace and I are getting our trip to Europe planned out. We're going to get a 21 day Eurail pass one of these days. Weather is really great and I have a frisbee tournament in County Sligo this weekend. My Quantum Physics class and my Thermal Physiss Lab are now officially over, so things are good. Mike, Rob and Keith are getting here in a week and a half. Alright.
By the way, Grace and I put together a preliminary european travel plan.
Paris - Brittany Coast - Bordeaux - Barcelona - Madrid - Portugal - Cordoba - Ibiza (?) - French Mediterranean Beach (?) - Florence - Rome - Venice - Amsterdam - Aushwitz - Paris (to fly back to Ireland).

Massive Updates
Hey! I made three or four new pages of content. Check out the links or the "places I've visited section." Anyway, it's been a relaxing weekend. Grace and I planned our trip to Europe and took it easy. After this it'll be pretty busy for the next 7 or 8 weekends.

New Photos
I got a bunch of photos from Grace's digital camera so I should have a bunch of new content by tomorrow or the next day.
Went out with Drew and Craig and Drew's room mate Alex - a fine time. Finished off my philosophy paper. I don't think I'll make it to Dungarvin this weekend. I'll wait till Mike gets here.

Plane Tickets
Grace and I bought plane tickets for our month long backpacking trip today. We're leaving on the 29th of March and getting back on the 24th of April. We'll start and finish in Paris. We haven't got our entire route figured out yet, but we're planning on seeing lots of paris, the mediterranean coast, spain, Italy, Vatican City (for the religion major), Greece, Poland and Amsterdam.
Coming up sooner, we might go to Dungarvin this weekend and see where my Grandpa grew up.
Otherwise, I played Ultimate for a few hours today. Really cold and gusty.

Quah
Craig's celebrating his 21st birthday tonight so its a big night out. Craig's a kid from Iowa State. Anyway, no big excitement today. Measured the temperature of water for 90 minutes today in my Thermal physics lab (no kidding). Discovered the meaning of life. The usual.

Tuesday
I'm back from having 2 pints with some frisbee lads. Talked about the differences between psychiatry and psychology. Frisbee was rainy but a good time.

Tonight I'm going over to Grace's to work on my stupid Philosophy of Film paper and my thermal physics lab.

I gotta figure out what to do with my life. Damn!

That's about it for today.

February 24th, 2004
Well, Mini Drew wanted to know what's up and here's a little webpage to get things going. It's not so hot at the moment. I hope I'll get more pictures later and a little more content. Also I'll try and update this blog as much as I can, though I'll try and remember the wise advice that "Very few people should have blogs. Most people aren't that interesting."

So, today, I studied for a Philosophy of Film paper I have to write. It's suppossed to be about what makes film the specific art object that it is. It's also supposed to be 10 pages, which is just ridiculous. I'm just about done after 2.5. The class is awful. We're debating whether or not a slide with a narrative track is a film. We talk about these wierd movies that are just static shots of objects (one is a script lying on a table).

Also, I read that thing you sent me Rob. It was pretty rockin'. Also, I busted my phone, so don't try to call me.
