The Trip to the Old Jameson Distillery in Middleton! (Yee ha!)

It doesn't get any better than learning how whiskey is made! Grace and I took a little daytrip down to Middleton to learn the secrets of "the water of life."

Arriving at the Jameson Distillery Tour

Grace and I made it! I feel just like Charlie after he won his golden ticket to go see the fabulous wonka chocolate factory! Except this is a whiskey distillery!

Let the tour begin!

After a brief trip to the gift shop and a fabulous ten minute video about the history of Ireland's premier whiskey brand, Jameson, we were off to see how whiskey wouuld have been made! The buildings you see are no longer in use (except for tours), but at one time produced fabulous whiskey.

A stirring vat

Grace looks tickled pink standing in front of this mixing vat.

A big water wheel

This wheel was used to supply power to the whiskey making process in days of yore.

A Jameson delivery truck!

I definately approve.

The world's largest potsill!

This is the biggest potsill ever. And Grace and I sat on it.

Enjoying our complimentary Jameson Whiskey

Well, farewell for now. Remember, for a relaxing time. . . make it a Jameson time.
