Lord Of The Rings
A delightful experience, these movies (three to be exact) are made up of amazing acting, props, cinematography, CGI characters and an original music score written by Howard Shore. Howard Shore's music score for Fellowship of the Ring won an Oscar, as did the cinematography, visual effects, and make-up. It recieved 13 nominations. The story is the tale of a young Frodo Baggins, who recieves a golden ring left to him by his uncle. When informed by the wizard Gandalf that this ring was not just a ring, but THE ring forged by the dark and evil lord Sauron, and that he was being tracked down by wraiths in black robes with very good noses, he sets out on a quest with his gardener Samwise, his cousins Meriadoc and Perigrin, and is later joined by humans Aragorn and Boromir, Dwarf Gimli, Elf Legolas, Bill the pony and the previous mentioned Gandalf. Along the way they run across (and away from) many dangers including orcs, balrogs, crumbling stairs and bridges that do not meet safety requirements. There is no swearing (unless you count it as swearing when it's said in Dwarfish), some gore, and the occasional kiss (gross!), but kissing is not a prominent theme. Review by Sabri M.
