John Brooks of Holland

John is found in Giles Tennessee working as a tailor in 1860 just before he married Roxanna Permilia Smith. Census records show that his father was from Holland ( John Brooke ) and his mother from France and that John himself was born in Pennsylvania. John and Roxanna are found together in Texas but it is uncertain if they are buried there. Some of their children are later found in Montgomery Alabama like John E Brooks. ============We find several family members buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Montgomery Alabama, including Annie Clark Ballard Brooks who was married to John E Brooks. He is buried there too but has no headstone that we find. Their son James Edgar Brooks Sr and his wife are buried near Annie. James married Susie Mae Cooper.
