Jacob married first to Mariah White and then to Clora Jane Miller. He had all girls with Mariah and a mysterious grandson named Frank living in the household on the 1880 census. He had a son named Frank Delbert Cochran with Clora. Perhaps Mariah died giving birth and Clora stepped in to help out as they did so often back then, and gave him more children. When Jacob died, Clora spent a few months living with each of her children, having no place else to go. Jacob told his children that his grandfather was Alexander from Scotland, who settled into Pennsylvania and his descendants moved into Ohio and some into Iowa.........................
