Genealogy is a long tedious process, so please be patient as we put together our lineage on the web. Am searching thru census records dating back to 1790 to locate our relatives, and other family histories as well as military records on ancestry.com

Family lore began with Alexander Cochran of Scotland yet the census records only indicate Cochrans of Ireland.

Speculation is that Alexander left Ireland and went to Scotland before coming to America, thus we could be called Scotch-Irish when they entered Pennsylvania. Ship lists are not yet found to show their port of arrival and date of such.
