New National Website Starting
There's a new national at-home dads web site at www.athomedad.org, not to be confused with www.athomeadad.com (which is a good site, just a bit outdated). Mike from Chicago is running this one with message boards, articles, etc for at home dads. Another national site is on the horizon in the near future. These are hopefully going to replace www.slowlane.com, which hasn't been updated since I started staying home 7 years ago. Good work, Mike.

Group update for week
Lincoln Playgroup Tues Nov 7 10am Holmes Lake Playground 70th and Normal North side of lake. Looks like we'll finally have good weather to get outside.

Omaha Playgroup Thurs Nov 9 10am Benson Comm Center 60th and Maple Mike will not be there, we will be traveling to KC for the at home dad convention.

Lincoln Playgroup Oct 24 10am Lincoln Childrens museum I probably will not have my cell phone, so email if you plan on attending. Omaha dads should try to make the trip. The childrens museum is a great time.

Omaha Playgroup Oct 26 10am Benson Community Center 60th and Maple We have had four new dads over the last few weeks show up. Try to come if you haven't been in a while and welcome them.

Todays Omaha Woman Article
The article on our group and at home dads is in the current issue of Todays Omaha Woman magazine. It's a free publication found at stands around Omaha. Mike was going to try to get a few copies. Mike has also been contacted by Channel 6 (I believe) about doing an interview.

Convention Update
So far, we have four dads from our group registered to go to KC for the national convention. Mike Njus and I will head down Thursday Nov 9, probably late morning or early afternoon. Rob is heading down Friday afternoon to make it to Boulevard Brewery by 5pm. He has offered to share a ride. He is a member of the LinOma Dads message board. You can sign up by clicking on the link on the left side of this site.

We have dads coming from every corner of the US and Tim is coming down from Montreal. Make sure to let other at home dads you know about this event. It is a great time. We expanded the block of hotel rooms just this week. www.athomedadconvention.com is the website to register.

Lincoln Playgroup Tues Oct 17 10am Pioneers Park Nature Center Meet at the prairie building west of the parking lot. There is a concrete trail leading to it. So far, weather looks like it will cooperate.

Weather Change
Due to bad weather, Lincoln Playgroup for Tues OCt 10 will be at the Indoor playground by the zoo on 27th. 10am meet time.
