We are scheduled to meet at the Mahoney State Park outdoor playground (by the theatre) Monday June 26 10am. Weather permitting.

Lincoln Dads Night Out
New Lincoln Dads Night Out scheduled for Thurs June 29 8pm at Brewsky's 70 & Van Dorn. I will try to grab a table in the upper back area (not by pool tables). This is different from our schedule we handed out at the Lincoln Childrens Museum. I had a conflict come up with Wednesday night. I hope this works for you dads in Lincoln.

Last minute meeting
I am going to meet with Jason and his daughter at the Ager indoor playground by the zoo around 10am on Tuesday. If you want to join us, I'll be wearing a Nebraska red polo shirt and chasing 2 and 4 year old boys.

Lincoln Children's Museum
Wednesday is our free day at the LCM. Fathers and Children admitted free. You just need to sign in at the front desk. Mike and I will meet at 10am just inside. Mike might be a little late since he is coming from Ralston. The free offer is good all day until closing time (I think 5pm). It is located on the north side of P just east of 14th. There is street parking or garage on the SW corner of 14 & P.

Welcome to everyone who found this site from the LJS article on Friday. This is just a quick rundown on how things work. I (Phil) keep the site and message board updated. I will also coordinate happenings in Lincoln. The best way to reach me is by email...Ptandrew2000@yahoo.com.
Mike is the keeper of the torch in Omaha. It is best to reach Mike by phone...402-339-5860. Mike has already set up a weekly playgroup in Omaha that meets Friday mornings at 10am. Usually at the Benson Community Center at 60th & Maple. The staff there is nice enough to provide the site for free. There is an acitivity area with toys and a gym.

Hopefully, we can get enough dads in Lincoln to get something organized here.

Events are updated through this site and a yahoo group message board. I recommend joining the group. It is a great way to email other dads in the area all at once, or individually. Click on the link down the left side of this page and follow the directions to join the group.

Thanks to Erin at the LJS for a great article. I thought it was well put together. I liked how she talked to Peter, as well. I've had the opportunity to meet Peter a couple of times and always leave impressed. He was one of the forefathers of putting together a national network of dads and a national convention.

Omaha Playgroup
Omaha playgroup is on for Friday at Benson Comm Center 60th & Maple. 10am. Mike will not be there. Can someone keep track of kids and dads present for the staff and for myself?

Lincoln Children's Museum Update
We just got great news from the Childrens Museum in Lincoln. On Wed, June 21 10AM-5pm fathers and children will be admitted for free. Check in at the front desk to fill out some info. I would encourage the guys from Omaha to come down and check it out. I will post directions and more info early next week. Thank you to Sue and everyone at this great facility for your help.

Mahoney Update
I was the only dad at Mahoney State Park on Monday. I met with Erin from the Lincoln Journal Star and our group will be featured in Friday's Hubbub section. Grab a paper or check www.journalstar.com on Friday. I have to say that I've been a little dissapointed with the turnouts we've had lately. I was very encouraged by the number of guys who came to Grandmothers and expressed interest in being involved with our group. If there are reasons why so few are showing up, let me know.

Mahoney State Park
Monday June 12 we will meet at Mahoney state park at the outdoor playground by the theatre 10am. We will be joined by Erin Andersen of the Lincoln Journal Star in preperation of a story on our group. Mike is unable to attend, so I hope you can make it out in good numbers. Pack a lunch if you don't want to eat marina food. I will probably stay until after lunch, but feel free to stay all day.

Friday Playgroup
Friday June 9 at Henry Doorly Zoo 10am meet at lion sculpture inside main gate. I will be unable to attend, so have fun.
