Dads Night Out Review
I had a quick minute for a quick post. I think all 12 of us who were at Grandmothers last night were excited and optimistic about this group. Mike and I never thought we would have 12 so early in the formation of the group. Thank you to all the guys who made it. I hope everyone enjoyed themselves and are planning on continuing with the group. Let us know what you think by posting comments below this post. I want to hear if you enjoyed it, ideas for locations, how often, etc. Remember Jackson's Pub in Gretna at the end of the month (details in earlier posts).

Website Update
The number of page views has gone back down to around 20-30 per day after spiking at around 150-160 after the OWH article. For some reason, I am unable to post comments replying to comments that show up on this site. I have personally emailed dads who have made comments and shown interest. I have received six messages/emails from dads interested in the group and Mike has four/five phone calls. Hopefully, most can show up on Wed night. If you have posted a comment or emailed me and haven't received a reply, please let me know.

Omaha Dads Night Out
The next dads night out for Omaha on May 3 at Grandmothers 82 & L 8pm was in the OWH today. Mike is going to arrive a little early and will be wearing his "Athome dad" shirt he bought at the convention a couple years ago. If you plan on going, call Mike at 339-5860 or email me so we know how many to count on. We will set up in the lounge and may have to move some tables together if we get enough dads.

Mike on Trip
Mike has let me know he will be on a quick trip leaving Thurs Ap 27 until late Saturday. He is attending a youth minister conference (his new part-time gig). If you are in Omaha and have questions about the group, you can contact me during this time. Email is best Ptandrew2000@yahoo.com.

Welcome to all of you who have found our site by way of our article in todays World Herald by Rainbow Rowell. Just a few quick things to cover. I (Phil) am the keeper of the blog for the most part. You can contact me via email or post comments to a blog entry. I usually check email a couple times a day, so this is the best way to contact me. Mike, on the other hand, checks his email once a week at the most. The best way to contact him is via phone...339-5860.
The article listed www.slowlane.com. It hasn't been updated in years. The best site for us is now www.rebeldad.com (link on left). Brian Reid works hard to keep up the site and his wife (Rebelmom) is from Omaha. Check it out.
Our site has averaged about 20-30 views per day over the last month. Over the last day we have had over 160. I hope this means there are a lot of dads out there who are checking this out. We have had two dads already post comments with a willingness to meet.

Dads Night Out Change
Mike has conflicts with tentative date, so we have decided on Wed May 30 8pm at Jackson's Pub in Gretna. Jackson's is between the outlet malls and the city of Gretna on the west side of the hwy. It is next to the Runza. This seemed to work good the last time.

Omaha Update
Mike and I were interviewed by Omaha World Herald reporter Rainbow Rowell today in preperation for an article in Wed edition. Pick up a paper or check www.omaha.com. Just a reminder, this group is for any dads who are home during the day and are the primary caregivers during that time. Even if you work 2/3 shifts, you are welcome. We are going to start scheduling some daytime stuff for you guys who can't make the dads night out meetings.

Dads Night Out Review
Not much to review. It was Steve and myself as the only participants. Even though I don't mind just hanging out with a few dads, it would be nice to get more guys out. Hopefully as time goes by, we will. I plan on going to Mike's in Omaha on May 3rd.

Next Dads Night Out
Looking forward to seeing everyone at Legends on Wed Night 8pm in the upstairs lounge. Hopefully Mike will have an update on the Omaha night out.

Going Public III
We are listed in today's Journal-Star on Page 2 of the Hubbub section in the calendar section. Check it out. Mike is going to contact OWH for our Omaha night out.
I am planning another dads night out for Wed May 24th. So far this is tentative. Andrew, from an Ad agency in KC and UNL grad, is interested in getting some info on our group and at-home dads in general. We have penciled this date and will confirm later. I am hoping we can meet in the middle in Gretna again. Hopefully this weekend I can put together some flyers to put out at different places with info on our group.
