Tues Nov 21 10am I believe its Sizemore Park. Located on 14th inbetween Old Cheney and Pine Lake. It sits between the YMCA and Library.

With the holiday, there are no scheduled playgroups this week. If you are in Lincoln and still want to get together Tuesday morning, let me know by posting a comment below or emailing me.

Dads night out still on for Wed Nov 29 8pm, location still to be determined. Probably an Omaha site.

Yes, that was our own Mike Njus on WOWT Channel 6 on Saturday. Mike and his wife Dianne were on their public affairs interview show. Matt, a new dad to our group in Lincoln, saw it and said Mike did a good job.

New National Website Starting
There's a new national at-home dads web site at www.athomedad.org, not to be confused with www.athomeadad.com (which is a good site, just a bit outdated). Mike from Chicago is running this one with message boards, articles, etc for at home dads. Another national site is on the horizon in the near future. These are hopefully going to replace www.slowlane.com, which hasn't been updated since I started staying home 7 years ago. Good work, Mike.

Group update for week
Lincoln Playgroup Tues Nov 7 10am Holmes Lake Playground 70th and Normal North side of lake. Looks like we'll finally have good weather to get outside.

Omaha Playgroup Thurs Nov 9 10am Benson Comm Center 60th and Maple Mike will not be there, we will be traveling to KC for the at home dad convention.

We had five dads come to the dads night out last Wednesday at Grandmothers. Hope to have another one late November/early December.

Lincoln Playgroup Oct 24 10am Lincoln Childrens museum I probably will not have my cell phone, so email if you plan on attending. Omaha dads should try to make the trip. The childrens museum is a great time.

Omaha Playgroup Oct 26 10am Benson Community Center 60th and Maple We have had four new dads over the last few weeks show up. Try to come if you haven't been in a while and welcome them.

Todays Omaha Woman Article
The article on our group and at home dads is in the current issue of Todays Omaha Woman magazine. It's a free publication found at stands around Omaha. Mike was going to try to get a few copies. Mike has also been contacted by Channel 6 (I believe) about doing an interview.
