Zoo Rain Day
Due to the rain, new Lincoln zoo day is Wed Aug 9 10Am.

Lincoln Childrens Zoo
I'm going to meet Jason from Lincoln at the Lincoln Childrens Zoo Tuesday Aug 8th at 10am. We will meet in front by the rail crossing. Jason will have his daughter (just turned two) and I will have my three kids (9,4,2). If want to join us but haven't met, send me an email so I can watch for you.

Summer break
Sorry about the lack of updates lately. I've been busy with summer stuff and had trouble getting time to get anything organized. Mike and I will both be doing some traveling over the next couple weeks, so our next event isn't until the Saltdogs game on Aug 13. Playgroup in Omaha is a question mark for awhile because of lack of participation. The staff at the Benson Center is willing to accomodate us with time or day change, if they can work it out.

Mike was going to try to organize at Dads Night Out for Omaha, but I haven't seen any posts or info on the date. He was going to try to contact some of the Omaha dads to find a good time.

If any dads want to get together in the next few weeks, use the yahoo message board and post a message.

Happenings
Omaha playgroup 10am Friday Benson Community Center 60 & Maple.

Omaha Royals Dads night out cancelled due to lack of interest. Hope to have something set up for a return to Grandmothers at 82 & L.

Lincoln Friday morning 10:30 I am taking the kids to the Bethany branch library on North Cotner (66th) north of Holdrege on east side. Lincoln Saltdog players will be there for the summer reading program with Homer the Haymarket park hound-dog.

Mike and I are willing to change days for playgroups, events, etc. If Friday's playgroups don't work, let us know. We've had stuff on Mondays and dads don't show up, either. We feel bad that the staff at Benson have gone out of their way to set up a free site for us, but no one shows up. We had 12 dads at Grandmothers who all said they were interested in the group, but participation has dwindled to basically one or two dads.

Omaha Childrens Museum
Omaha playgroup set for Friday 10am at the Omaha Childrens museum. Call Mike for location or questions 339-5860. I will not be able to make it due to the death of my father in law, service is set for Friday. Hope we get a good turnout.

Mahoney State Park cancelled
We have cancelled our Mahoney State park gatherings until further notice. This is due to lack of attendance and schedule conflicts with Mike and I.
If you are interested in attending these and would like them rescheduled, let us know and show up.

Lincoln Dads Night Out
Thursday Night 8pm Brewskys 70th and Van Dorn I'll try to get a table in the upstairs portion (only 3 steps or so in the back). I'll wear a powder blue Royals tshirt if you don't know me. Make sure to come even if you don't drink, there are a number of guys who don't.
