Going Public III
We are listed in today's Journal-Star on Page 2 of the Hubbub section in the calendar section. Check it out. Mike is going to contact OWH for our Omaha night out.
I am planning another dads night out for Wed May 24th. So far this is tentative. Andrew, from an Ad agency in KC and UNL grad, is interested in getting some info on our group and at-home dads in general. We have penciled this date and will confirm later. I am hoping we can meet in the middle in Gretna again. Hopefully this weekend I can put together some flyers to put out at different places with info on our group.

Steve,

My emails to you have been getting returned. I've tried 4 or 5 times with no luck. We are hoping that we will have more people attend with info going out in the paper. I have also had contact with a few other dads, but they haven't responded to my emails. Mike was hoping on the same thing in Omaha with something in the paper. See you next week.

Omaha Night Out
Mike has set up the Wed May 3rd night out at Grandmothers and 82nd & L. We will meet in the lounge area. Mike is going to arrive early and reserve table(s). He let them know we will have up to 8-10 people. Meet at 8pm. If you are new, give Mike a call at 339-5860 and let him know you are coming so he can keep an eye out for you. We will contact OWH next week with the info.

Going Public II
Looks like we'll have a listing in next Fridays edition of Hubbub in the Journal-Star for our April 19 dads nite out. I am also trying to set up a time to meet with Erin Andersen to do a story on our group. Hopefully next week we can meet. Still waiting to hear from Mike on an Omaha site for May 3rd with contact with OWH to follow.

Cards
I have just placed an order for personal type cards with contact info included. Let me know if you need some to pass out to other dads you run into.

April 19th site secured
I have reserved the upstairs lounge at Legends Bar at 84th & Holdrege, Lincoln. Wed April 19, 8pm. Mike is still working on a location for Omaha. Looks like that date will be May 3, Wednesday. More updates to come.

Going Public
I am working on a press release type announcement to send to newspapers, local kids type papers, etc.. I think that a meeting date/place should be included in the document. I am thinking about reserving the upstairs at Legends again. What do you guys think. I'll shoot for a Wed nite again. How about April 19th. Mike, can you work something together for the next Wed nite in Omaha? April 26th. I have been to the Brewsky's in west Omaha and I think they have a seperate section you can reserve. Or if you have any other ideas, can you check them out? these meetings will be informal meet/greet type events, dads only, say around 8pm.
Steve, any ideas?

Dad's Night Out
Next Dads night out is Wed March 22 8pm at Jackson's Pub in Gretna. It is on HWY 31 north of Nebraska Crossings and south of the town of Gretna. I believe it is next to a Runza. Steve, let me know if you want to ride together. If anyone else is interested in meeting, let me or Mike know via email.

Spring Break
For some reason I hate calling getting the kids together "playdates". Does anyone have any other name to use? So far, none of our schedules match up for all the kids. Mike, we can get the young ones together next week. I'll call you in the next couple of days. Steve, would you be up for a Sat/Sun outing with our older kids to SAC/Morrill Hall type of thing?

It looks like Wednesday nights might work best for another night out? Mike, can you come up with a place in Omaha? How about we shoot for March 22. Steve, we can carpool if you like.

KC Trip
I had a really good time in KC on Saturday. We had a total of ten guys do the tour of Boulevard and a Mexican restaurant afterword. I stayed at the Holiday Inn on the Plaza to check it out as a possible hotel for the convention in November. It seemed to be a good place. I'm hoping our group will grow and we could have more than just me go down next time.
