Hello,

My name is Jerome and I thought I was the only stay at home Dad in the world, hehe. I moved to Omaha from California about 3 years ago, as part of a promotion for my wife. I love it here but slowly realized that fathers play a "supportive roll" in parenting here. I wanted to break the cycle or atleast be able to raise my kids with my value structure. I read the paper everyday and came across your interview with Rainbow. I do sometimes dis agree with what she has to say, but in this case I greatly appreciate the information she has provided. I am looking for something to do, anything really. I built a play center in my back yard for the kids, atleast that way I dont feel unconfortable stairs from mothers who are wondering why I am talking to them. Just a bit about myself, I am a SciFi buff. Me and my kids watch all of the Discovery channels on a everyday basis. My son is 5 and my daughter is 1yr4m. I have been married for 6 years and formally with my wife for 12 years(yes it was me cold feet,hehe)We look forward to meeting or even chatting with you all.

I was glad to see the article in today's world herald. I am a stay at home dad with a 6 month old son. Anyone have kids around the same age? I would like to talk to some other stay at home dads. It does seem like it is a very isolated world for us. I live in Omaha near 168th and Pacific. Look forward to hearing from other dads.

I just wanted to say that I think what you guys are doing is great. Yes I might be a mom but I do know the dads need time out too.
