Lanzhou Life

Welcome to this site. I am going to try, at least for a short time to document my life here in Lanzhou, China. I arrived in Lanzhou (to live, not my first time in the city) on August 20th, 2003. I am under contract here till June 30th, 2004. This site may be interesting to you, either because you are interested in this part of China, teaching English overseas, or because you are a friend of mine.

At the time that I arrived in Lanzhou I was 31 years old. I was born in America, but have lived in Korea since 1996, and traveled around eastern Asia extensively. I am dating a man from this area, an ethnic Tibetan, which is why I chose Lanzhou over someplace like beautiful coastal Qingdao. I enjoy writing- and like to think that you could both learn and enjoy reading what I write here.

I kindly ask you not to copy any writing from this site. Who knows what I may do with this writing in the future- anyway, it's under my copyright.
