About me

I was born in Bishnupur, Bankura, WB, India. My Schooling was done at village Kharusa (all my memories gather round her!!), Midnapur, India. I studied Dairy Technology form B C Agricultural University,WB, India and graduated in 1994. Same year I went to National Dairy Research Institute, Karnal to pursue post graduate studies, completed Master's in Dairy Technology in 1996. I received my Ph.D. in Y2K. I was awarded a scholarship by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) to carry out part of my research work at Federal Research Center for Nutrition, Karlsruhe, Germany (undoubtedly this is one of major achievements in life!).

After completion of Ph. D. I joined Research & Development (Product & Process Development)of National Dairy Development Board, Anand, India. My research work is concerned with Whey Beverages, Food Texture & Colour Analysis, Cheese Ripening, Enzyme Immobilization.

It's not all about me. I'm a great lover of music an ardent Lata Mangeshkar fan (I've 45 cassettes of her single and duet songs in Hindi and Bengali). I've also interest in sports and politics and literature. I got married in 25th November 2001 with Soma. And my life is never the same again. Friends!! we are waiting for that great experience when Stork is scheduled to visit our home on early December'03.
