I appreciate your post in all of its splendor. Thanks for being the first non-me writer on this blog!! Now we should invite others to join, and our discussions can be permanently recorded (unless we choose to delete sections of these, which is unlikely) online. Again, to you and everyone else, I highly recommend Joshua Harris's "I Kissed Dating Goodbye" and "Boy Meets Girl." I just finished reading the latter and it is awesome.
