Hi! Welcome to my little corner of the 'net. I finally mastered HTML enough to get one of these up. I'm quite excited about it. I've always wanted to have my own website. In my own narcisistic way I believe I'm interesting enough to attract an audience. Click on the links below to look around. Enjoy your stay and check back often. I have no life, therefore I have plenty of time to update :-p

Well, I almost have the first week of school under my belt. I'm exhausted - haha - and it's just the first week. I don't know how well I'm going to be able to deal with this working seven days a week and going to school full time stuff. Oh well. I got bills to pay. Nothing too exciting has happened today. I had Comm Writing II this morning and Stats this afternoon and I've got Audio Production at 5:30 p.m. I'm actually looking forward to that class. It'll help me a lot with things at the radio station. It's all about producing commercials and news briefs and stuff. John and I are gonna go eat in the UC (University Center) about 4:30 p.m. It's really nice in there since they renovated but it's really not that different. I'm thinking of switching to a different server. Angelfire has been good to me and they offer more space than anyone else, but they keep sticking that Hip Hop Heat banner in my table that I write in and it messes up the layout. If I switch hosts, I'll have no advertising at all on my site, but my address will be at VelvetKiss.org, which sounds a little fruity, haha. Anyway, I'mma bounce off here. They call me Robbie "Stalker Of The Stars" at the station and I've gotten a juicy scoop I need to call in. Peace out!

Hola mi amigos. Not really much to say today. School's underway and trudging along. I still need to buy my stats book and my french book. I've got homework tonight for both those classes and my writing class. I guess I'll do that in my break from 4:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. I have a once a week night class tonight from 5:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Its with Dr. Gailey so that'll be cool. I've had her before and she's awesome. I really don't know what to ramble about. I've finally got a new idea for a layout. I'm gonna combine John Mayer & Jewel, lol. I call it something, like, [v. 0304: Bigger Than My Body]. Yeah, I like how that sounds. Jewel's coming to Atlanta in September. Working on getting tickets to the show and meeting her. I leave for Portland next Friday. Definitely excited about that. Not as excited about meeting Jessica Simpson as I was. I saw her new show on MTV last night (Newlyweds) and she's a dingbat. She didn't know that Chicken Of The Sea is a brand of tuna. She thought it was some exotic fish and she was eating the wrong thing. Anyhoo, I'mma hop off here. Champagne wishes and caviar dreams!

School is back in session. Today was the first day and it wasn't too bad at all. I only have one class today from 10:00 a.m. - 10:50 a.m. It's French 211 and it's with Dr. Steinberg so I know it's not gonna be that bad. I'm at work right now. I'll be here until 4 p.m. John and Jesse both finally moved in yesterday (I moved on Friday). The new roommate, Patrick, seems nice enough. We're under the impression he won't be there very often though. He brought no food or dishes with him and seems to only come in to sleep. I'm so happy to be back on campus and be back with all my friends. It'll also be nice to get a routine going again. I've got to go after work and pick up a few books I need for classes.

The radio station sponsored the Justin Guarini concert at Hamilton Place this weekend. I honestly believe that is the hardest I've ever worked in my entire life. I was there 3 hours and 45 minutes before the show started and an additional 4 hours afterwards. He really is a nice guy though. He's very gracious towards his fans. One hundred and thirty people stood in line for his autograph and each person got an autograph, a hug, and a photo....including me, haha! *(click on the photo to enlarge it)*

Oy vey! It's not even the weekend yet and I'm already exhausted. I keep yawning at work. I've got a hella crazy weekend ahead. Friday morning at 8 a.m. the dorms open, so of course I'll be there at the butt crack of dawn to move in. I'll spend most of the day doing that, then I have to meet Adam at Hamilton Place after it closes so that we can set up everything for Justin Guarini. Saturday morning I'll have to go to the station early in the morning to voice track my shows for Majic & Kiss and I have to be at the mall at 1 p.m. (the concert doesn't start 'til 4 p.m.). I'll also have to hang around the mall after the show and take care of some things, I'm sure. Justin also wants to go out to dinner and out on the town. I've been invited to tag along, but I think I'mma have to pass. I know I'll be exhausted and I have to run a NASCAR race on Sunday afternoon as well as voice track. I was hoping to catch up with my roommates at some point in time. I don't see where that fits in though :-/ Well, I think I'mma shut up with my moaning.

I'm interested in getting a new layout up here. I kinda wanna change them every month. I was on a Beyoncé kick when I started (even though her album was a big disappointment) and then I was on an Ashanti kick and this layout has been a good summer layout. But now that school's getting ready to start I need a new one. I'm thinking either a black/white/grey Jewel layout ('cuz I'm on a big Jewel kick right now) or a John Mayer layout since he has a new album coming next month. Anyway, I'm gonna bounce outta here. Before I go though, it is Wednesday, and that means it's time for my top ten. Have a good one!

Holy Crap! Alert the press! He updated! Again, my apologies for taking forever and a day to write an update. I've just been so busy lately. Work at the library and the radio station and school starting back has been catching up with me all at once. Things'll be better once I get back in school though. I'll have my computer hooked up again - I didn't hook it up at home - and I'll have access to the 'net everyday. I really don't have much to say today. The dorms open at 8 a.m. on Friday and I'll be over at the Village office waiting on them, haha. It's so much easier to move first thing in the morning. One, it's cooler outside, and two, not so many people are here then and it just makes it easier. I bet I'll be in my room and have everything set up by noon. The next few weeks are gonna be crazy with school and Kiss events and going to Portland but I'm excited about all of it. I'm going to post my on-air schedules on here so maybe people can listen in. A note to the folks in Polk County - you won't be able to hear me on KissFM. Our signal doesn't reach outside Hamilton County. Anyway here it is:

Saturdays
7 p.m. - midnight on Majic 101.9 - My "radio name" for that station is Robbie Ray

Sundays
Midnight - 6 a.m. - KissFM
5 p.m. - 7 p.m. - Majic 101.9

Some of you may know that I'm, like, utterly obsessed with posting at message boards. My new favorite place to go is Phlosh. You can use avatars there and post blends in your signature. I've had two people make me three different blends I'm so conflicted as to which Mariah Carey blend to use 'cuz I love 'em both, haha. Here they are: Automatic Princess #1& Automatic Princess #2. Also, here's a John Mayer one, haha.

In case you're wondering about the "Automatic Princess" thing...that's Mariah's new cosmetics and accessories company. Anyhoo, I'mma bounce outta here. Peace out!

UPDATE ALERT: NEW PICS AND JULY JOURNAL ENTRIES

I know, I know, I know. It has been forever and a day since I wrote anything. I've just been really busy. Wednesday afternoon, when I got home from work, I heard a pop in the hood of my car and the air quit coming out of my vents. I assumed I'd broken my AC belt - if such a thing exists. I took it to a mechanic who said it was my alternator belt and that there was some damage to the alternator itself. Now, mind you, this is like an every six month occurance with the alternator. So I had to leave it with him and Thursday afternoon I paid him $299 for the work he did. Saturday morning, my car wouldn't start again. So, I've spent the past few days car shopping and things turned out well. I got a nice price for my Geo and am now the owner of a 2002 Mitsubishi Mirage DE 2-door Coupe. Well, I don't own it yet. Gotta make payments for five years and then it's mine.

Thursday night I judged the Miss Hawaiian Tropic contest again and on Friday night I got a girl to give me her thong underwear in exchange for Rock The Mic tickets. DJ Spicolli snapped a few shots of me and put them on the Chattanooga Food & Drink website. I'mma steal 'em and upload 'em here...so check the pics section and see if there are any new ones. There'll also be some on there from the KissFM website. Last night, at the station, we had the Dance Your Pants Off contest. Women had to do the Macarena for six hours solid for a chance to go to the Last Chance Summer Dance at the end of August. If I hear that damn song one more time, I'mma pull my hair off. Speaking of the Last Chance Summer Dance - I've been wanting to announce this on here for a while - I'm going to it. Riggs and I will fly out of Chattanooga on Friday, August 29th to Portland, OR. On Saturday, August 30th, we'll interview all of the acts performing; the concert is on Sunday, August 31, and we'll fly back home on Monday, September 1. I couldn't think of a better way to spend Labor Day weekend than meeting Kelly Clarkson, Justin Guarini, Blu Cantrell, Daniel Bedingfield, Wayne Wonder, Uncle Kracker, Jessica Simpson, Nick Lachey, Junior Senior, Ginuwine, and Bowling For Soup. Meeting Justin Guarini won't be that big of a deal though. He's doing a concert on Saturday, August 16, at Hamilton Place and I'll get to meet him then. Anyway, I'mma bounce off here and try to update some other parts of the site. Peace out!
