 Greetings and Salutations! Thanks for checking out my personal website, hopefully you'll kinda get to know me a little bit better, but I've still not decided whether that is a good or bad thing yet! lol! I have no idea how to start this off, I would imagine I've already bored you by this point! So I'll just fill in the rest of this.
Well what do you want to know about me? I haven't got a clue what to write about, I'll start with the basics, I'm Humayun, pronounced Her-Mian, although I have roughly a 'kazillion' nicknames, Humz, Hummy! Grrrr! Humzy Wumzy (Thanks Lou!) So that's my name, you can call me whatever, I've given up trying to correct people, I was named after an ancient Indian emperor and its pretty unique so in that aspect I quite like it, if only people could pronounce it!
At the moment I'm at college, studying Biology, Chemistry, Design Technology, General Studies and Maths! Woo! As you can tell all pretty geeky subjects! But my real love is Art, I couldn't do it at A-Level because it clashed with my Maths, how I regret now, not pursuing my passion, well I suppose we learn from our mistakes. Its kinda weird, because like most blokes, I find it difficult to express the way I feel without coming across incredibly camp! lol! But I can be serious or light hearted in my paintings, even the actual process of painting, I find incredibly cathartic and therapeutic, god I do sound like a total loser don't I!! Oi! Don’t nod your head and agree! Grrrrrrrrrr!
I love creating, whether it's drawing, painting, music, film or making a website, I suppose I'm a bit of a perfectionist, which is a double edged sword, it means that I always do the best that I can do, with whatever it is I'm doing in my life, but then again, it also means I'm never satisfied with anything that I ever do.
I love music too, my tastes keep changing, I went through a huge Radiohead phase, I remember the first time I heard 'Street Spirit [Fade Out]' I've never had such an emotional connection with anything in my life in that way before, it totally blew me away, I could totally relate to it. Anyway subsequently bought everything they ever created, I suppose it was weird for a kid of 12 to be listening to Radiohead, but I've always had odd taste, compared to other people, nehoo, my
friends included! lol! Anyway at the moment, some of my all time bands would be

The Early November, there are a million others I could list but those would be amongst my favourite but in
spite of the linearity of my choices, I really don't mind what I listen to, if it sounds good, then it sounds good, irrespective of the genre. But I do love guitars, they make beautiful sounds. One of my favourite songs of all time, is a simple beautiful song, by Mogwai, called 'Take Me Somewhere Nice' it has so much meaning to me, it's not just a song, but a memory, when I listen to it makes me think of so many things, and that's what I love most about art, or music, especially music, I love the way a certain song, can remind you of a person, or an occasion or a place, nothing else connects to our souls in a way that even comes close. Excuse me, I believe I am rambling!
[Edit] Someone asked me to put up a little bit more about my origins, well my parents were born and brought up in Bangladesh, a small little country surrounded by India in Asia, its by the top right of the inverted triangle near the bottom of the Asia continent. If that makes sense to you. My parents came over in the mid 70's moving to London, where we still to this very day! Another person asked about siblings, I have an older brother he's 22 and studying medicine at Saint Georges Medical School and a little baby sister, whose 13 she's still at Secondary School. [/Edit]
I don't know what else to say really? I don't suppose I can really put my life down simply into a few paragraphs of words, well I suppose it gives you an insight into my mind, as strange and eerie as it is, I'll update this, when I can think of what else to put into this profile.
