The No More Doubt campaign is a new initiative on the campus of North Dakota State University to educate incoming students about the joys and trappings of everyday relationships. With all of the talk among people about what a healthy relationship is and what it is not, it can sometimes be hard to figure out just what sort of relationship one is in. Seeing a need to sort through some of the common myths and truths about relationships, this campaign was developed to help the students of NDSU identify healthy relationships, and to avoid those that are unhealthy.

Despite everybody's fears, sexual assault and physical and emotional abuse are all too common in everyday relationships. Whether the pain is caused by acquaintances, friends, romantic partners, or family members, the sad fact remains that it can happen in any of those relationships. Often, it is hard to admit that one has an unhealthy relationship, because feelings for the person are so strong. However, that doesn't mean that the relationship shouldn't be changed, or help shouldn't be sought.

That's where this campaign comes in. It can be hard to examine one's relationships to find any elements of sexual, physical, or emotional abuse. Doubt often accompanies any self-examination as one tries to separate feelings about the relationship with facts about the relationship.

Through this campaign, we hope to spell out clearly what healthy relationships look like, what constitutes sexual assault/rape, and physical and emotional abuse, so that you don't have to doubt yourself any longer. If you aren't in an unhealthy relationship right now, take the precautions we offer and figure out what you want in future relationships so that you don't fall into a painful experience. If you find that you are in an unhealthy relationship, though, don't fret, for there is help for you. If you don't find help from us, find help from somewhere, for you don't deserve to be hurt in relationships.
