The lake is a calling!

Ok, I have been slacking for a while. So I am going to get this one done for the rest of May and hopefully get better at updating.

Since we spoke last I have been out a few times. I made it out for Bass opener. Phil and I went to Kroon Lake. Anyways, opener went pretty well. I ended up with 22 fish, 20 bass and 2 northerns. Phil did pretty well also. He ended up with 11 bass and if I can remember right he got he big fish of the day. Probably about 3 pounds.
The family and I went out to East Twin Lake and drifted around for a while. I caught a couple of Northers, Nicole and the kids caught some realy nice lily pads. I also fished Crooked Lake a few times. Crooked Lake is a small lake, the fishing is ok but it is close to my house. Nicole and I went one morning and got something like 9 bass between the two of us. I also lost a realy nice one. About a week later I went back to the lake by my self and got 3 bass. A sort of slow day but the first one weighed in at a little over 4 pounds. Pretty good for around here.

The last fishing trip of May brought the whole family out to the Mississippi river. Never been there before so we thought we would check it out. In the end we ended up with a nice smallie and a walleye. It was the first walleye I have caught in a long time, so that was pretty fun. The river is sort of hard to boat though. The majority of the river where we fished was under 3 feet and rocky with a strong current. We bumped a few rocks and ended up towing some fool who broke their lower unit of their motor. It ended up being sort of fun, kind of stress full.
