The standard of service at this garage was way below
standard.
Having taken my car in to
have the exhaust fixed, I asked this garage to quote
a price for fixing it, after they had put it on the
ramps and checked it underneath, checked with me the
model of the car, its' registration and whether it
needed a catalytic converter, they quoted - £60+VAT.
about £71, an acceptable price for this sort
of work.
When my exhaust was fixed and
the bill worked out, surprise my bill was now £105,
an increase of about 50%!! I hadn't been told of any
extra work, no one had gone out of the workshop to
get any extra parts, but apparently they had found
another bit of the exhaust that had to be repaired
and that was the extra cost. No apology, nothing.
This is appalling service,
when questioned as to why they didn't see any problem
before, after all the car had been up on the ramps
they did have a thorough check underneath - their
reply -> it must have been missed!!!
A garage not to be visited
unless you want to be ripped off. Why ask for a quote
when this garage won't honour it.
