The Cougars project is about our group pitching the idea of purchasing a software package to help schedule our recreation center's events. Our group will be playing the role of management level employees at a recreation center. We have noticed that many of our events are being scheduled to be at the same place and time. Therefore, we are going to pitch to the board of directors a software package that will help us solve these problems.
The software system we are interested in is a scheduling system for sporting events. The software will let us schedule our games and events in a manner that all the employees will be able to see and edit. The software will not allow anyone in the organization to book an event at the same time and place as another event.
There are many justifications for using this software. The major justification is eliminating the confusion and irritation that is caused by scheduling events at the same time and place. Also, an increase in productivity is expected as employees will no longer spend extra time sorting out issues with scheduling. We also hope that by eliminating scheduling conflicts we will improve our reputation with our customers.
