Chapter 16

Justin smiled at her and gave her a hug. The three girls went on their way to their seats, which were in the last row. Just because they got backstage didn’t mean they got different seats. The show was the greatest, as if there were any doubt. After the show, they got back into the Tracker to head home. The only thing was that they were just going home to get some rest. They had another full day ahead of them since they were invited to Clarion with N Sync.

They got back into town at 9 in the morning, and Mandi and Tracy slept for a few hours. Shannon slept almost the whole way home, so she wasn’t very tired. They woke up and got ready to leave. They were so excited to see the guys again. The girls took the half-hour drive to Clarion and they drove around for 8 hours trying to find them. Finally, they caught up with them, and boy were they excited. They walked up to the guys nervously, and quietly said hello. Justin practically ran towards Shannon and gave her a big hug. He noticed that Mandi was busy talking to Lance, and Tracy was busy with Joey, so he pulled Shannon off to the side to talk to her personally.

**End Flashback**

"And that is how we met and got together." She smiled at him and waited for him to say something. "Wow, I would have never thought that you two would have gotten together in my hometown," he exclaimed. Just then, Justin walked into the room, looking a bit disheveled. "Morning sunshine!," Chris said energetically. Justin just looked at him and smiled. Soon, they all finished their breakfast and were ready to start another day. They were going down to the studio with Jessica and JC. Jessica was recording a few songs for her first album, and JC was helping produce it.

Justin, Chris, and Shannon drove down to the studio together where they saw Joey and Lance standing outside. "Hey guys, what are you doing out here? How come you aren’t inside?," Chris asked. "We decided that we wanted to wait for you, so that we weren’t the only two in there besides Jessica and JC. You know how those two lovebirds can be together," Joey said quietly. With that being said, they walked into the studio and quietly sat as they had already started recording. "She has a wonderful voice! I wish I could sound like her," Shannon said, listening intently to her singing. Justin looked over at her and smiled, "I’m sure you do, you are just too hard on yourself." She smiled back at him, "Yeah, but I wouldn’t want to be a famous singer. You know how much hassle that can be." They were all quiet then and just listened to their friend singing her heart out. "Wow, she is going to be the next Britney Spears," Lance said with a smirk on his face. Justin sat straight up and looked at Lance. "Yeah, but at least she won’t cause us lots of trouble like Britney is."

A few hours later, Jessica was done recording for the day. Her and JC walked out of the studio and were greeted by the rest of their friends. "You sounded so great today Jess!," Justin said, giving her a friendly hug. "Thanks so much Justin, but you know, I’m really hungry. Why don’t we go somewhere and get something to eat?" Everyone thought about where they wanted to eat, somewhere where they wouldn’t be bothered by annoying fans. "How about the Olive Garden?," Shannon asked with a puppy dog face. "I haven’t eaten there in a long time and I’m really hungry for some Italian food." Joey perked up a bit and gave everyone a huge grin. "Yum, Italian. I say its a plan!"

Everyone walked into the restaurant, and Justin just rolled his eyes. "Great, it must be teeniebopper night here." He noticed some young girls look in their direction, getting giddy when they noticed who they were. A young, handsome waiter asked JC how many there were tonight. JC had to count everyone, telling the young man that there were 7, and that they wanted seating somewhere private, away from everyone else. The waiter understood why and led them to their seats. Before they could get to their seats, they past a table and Justin hid his face. They all took a seat, and Shannon put her hand on Justin’s shoulder. "What’s wrong sweetie? Why did you cover your face earlier?" Justin looked at her, a twinge of freight was in his eyes. "Didn’t you see who was sitting there?," he whispered to her. She shook her head and he answered back, "Britney. I think she saw us."
