ACCEPT ASSISTANCE  Ask for help when you don't know how to find a solution on your own.  Listen to others.  Find support, mentoring, and opportunities through participating in business groups or associations.  Sometimes someone else's experience or perspective may be all you need to find your own answers.

BE GRATEFUL!  Always thank those who have helped you along the way.  Be especially appreciative to those who send referrals.  These people are your free sales force!  As each dollar comes to you, silently thank the universe for your abundance.  Since what you focus on grows and gains strength and importance, focusing on your blessings, assistance and positive income causes these elements to grow and expand.

COMMIT TO YOUR BUSINESS!  Are you working at a full time job to earn a living, and dabbling in your own business on the side?   What does that say about your faith in your own business?  How can you expect anyone to believe in or trust your expertise if YOU don't?  When you make a full and unwavering commitment to your own business, your actions and decisions will change, and the universe will respond accordingly.  Only then will your business begin to grow.

DETERMINE YOUR UNDERLYING MOTIVATIONS  Why have you chosen this career path?  What is it that you truly value?  Under the Universal Law of Attraction, you will be rewarded with whatever you value most.  If you value intangible benefits, such as feeling good about yourself spiritually, or wanting to help people--that is what you will receive.  Money will never be a part of the equation unless it is one of your primary motivations for starting your business.

EMULATE OTHERS  Fast track your path to success by following in the footsteps of the pros!  Study those who have succeeded at what you want to accomplish.

FOCUS!  We give energy to whatever we focus upon.  Like watering plants, if you focus on problems, a lack of money, or negative beliefs, you perpetuate these conditions and force them to grow.  Instead, focus on what you want to create.

GROW YOUR BUSINESS!  The difference between success and mediocrity lies between running a business and GROWING a business.  Don't get caught up in busy-ness.  Focusing on daily activities may cause you to lose sight of your larger long-term goals.  Always maintain a plan, with a timetable of accomplishment.  Do this on a daily basis, but also include elements into your daily routine that build on a larger plan.

INITIATE RATHER THAN RESPOND  Successful people are pro-active instead of reactive!.  Rather than responding to crises and events as they occur, they make choices, plan and act deliberately so most crises never even happen.  Develop a plan so you CREATE your reality instead of responding to it.  This is personal authority.

KNOW YOUR CUSTOMERS' MOTIVATIONS.  The strongest motivating factor of any human being is to feel good.  Direct your efforts toward that need.

LEARN FROM YOUR MISTAKES  If it isn't getting good results, change the way you do it.  Are you repeating the same thing over and over hoping to eventually get a different result?  That only works with advertising, where repetition is the only way to create results.

MARKET YOURSELF  MARKET YOUR BUSINESS  You can have the best product in the world, you can be the very best at what you do, but if no one knows about you, you can't help anyone.  If you truly want to help people, you have a responsibility to ensure that they find you.

NETWORK!  NETWORK!  NETWORK!  Networking is like building a free sales force for your business! One-on-one interaction gives others an opportunity to build trust and confidence in you.  This leads to referrals and word of mouth advertising.  Networking also places you in direct contact with potential clients.  For service-oriented businesses, networking is IMPERATIVE since 90% of new customers will come from referrals.

OPERATE WITH THE INTENT TO CREATE BENEFIT or well-being to your clients.  Always give more than required or expected.  Build your client base through the strength of your quality and integrity.

PAY ATTENTION to synchronicity and take it where it leads you.  Serendipity is not blind chance.  It is a clue, an opportunity that has been placed in your path to lead you in a particular direction.

QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING  Get lots of properly accredited training.  Professional fees are most often determined by the degree of perceived value for your service.  The more qualifications, the more perceived expertise and value.

REPETITION  People are so constantly bombarded by advertising, information, and sensory stimulus, they will not pay attention to something unless it is repeated several times.  You must clearly identify your name and product at least 3 times to a consumer.  This can be 3 times in one ad, 3 times in one publication, 3 separate publications, or 3 different types of media.  Mention the most important element of your message--name address, telephone numner or product 3 times if possible.

STRETCH YOURSELF!  Unless you do something beyond what you have already mastered, you will not grow.  Your business can only grow to the extent you do.

TRUST YOUR INTUITION  It is the vioce of your soul calling you to do what is right for you alone.

USE YOUR PROBLEMS  Successful people know a crisis or problem is an opportunity for change, refinement, new direction or transcendence.  Problems are a chance for you to examine a situation at a new level, to change the way you do something, and to grow and learn from the experience.  Problems can be your most valuable tool for improvement that leads to lasting success.

VEHICLE FOR WEALTH  Think of how you perceive your business.  Your perception either expands or limits your business and your ability to make money.  Is your business a job, a career, a calling, or is it a vehicle for making money?

WRITE IT DOWN!  Keep a log of your daily activities and interactions.  You will be surprised how often documentaion prevents misunderstandings and helps smooth out potential legal difficulties.  A log can also jog your memory when needed.  Place all quotes, estimates, contracts and information in writing so all parties understand their rights and obligations.  Always write down the names of company representatives with whom you are speaking.  Make reference notes for dates, times and brief details in your day book.

YOU ARE A WALKING BILLBOARD for your business.  Your hair, makeup, hands and fingernails, shoes, attire, and even the colours you choose, all determine people's opinions about your skills and professionalism.  Present an image that best projects who you are as a professional or who you want to become.  This will attract clients and associates who are more in alignment with your true purpose.
