Management (HRM) sophomore and CBE Women’s Volleyball
Team varsity player Sandra Maureen E. Sauquillo ranked
third place in the female category of the Cocktail
Mixing and Flairtending Competition held at the City
College of Tagaytay (CCT), Tagaytay City, Cavite last
The competition was part of the Seminar on Bartending
hosted by Tanduay Distillers, Inc. in cooperation with
CCT. The seminar was attended by a total of 36 HRM
students from CBE and other students from surrounding
colleges and universities.
Aside from Sauquillo, third year HRM student Jehro G.
Valenzuela and second year HRM student Mark Christian D.
Sañez participated in the competition.
Among the other schools who partook of the
seminar-competition were the Rosario, Naic and Cavite
City branches of CvSU; as well as the University of
Perpetual Help, GMA (Gen. Mariano Alvarez); the
Rogationist College, Silang; St. Jude College,
Dasmariñas; and CCT.
In an interview, CBE Dean Alice T. Valerio praised
Sauquillo for winning in the event. “I’m very glad for
[her] accomplishment, considering that she was trained
for only two days,” she said. “How much more if she was
trained for a longer period of time?”
Dr. Valerio also mentioned that, in September,
Sauquillo will be entering a similar contest in Manila
to compete with the universities in that area.
Sauquillo was trained and accompanied by HRM
Instructor Angelito T. Lunasin, Jr.
