The War in Iraq costing us our soul

Is it just me or does anyone else feels that the war in Iraq is costing our soul? Since the first invasion of the Iraq day by day the US is losing moral and soul. Our way of life is changing with some of us even unknowingly participating in it by defending our wrong actions. As if two wrongs make one right. Since invasion of Iraq not even once we admitted that we made a mistake. Is it becuase soldiers are perfect or our politicians arrogant. As humans we all make mistake. When we realize our mistake and admit our mistake then we can correct it and mend the broken soul. If we realize our mistake and still defend our wrong action with excuses it will surely cost us our soul.
