ok so i guess my life has been pretty boring food-wise, but i just wanted to touch on some random things before i begin my "reminiscing series: berkeley"
thai temple
they brought back those coconuty pancake things & taro/coconut fritters...
everyone seemed to talk about these things, but i had never seen them until now (i think they took them away for the winter for the noode soup which is still there)
the coconuty pancake things have green onion in them & soft & gooey
the taro fritters taste like fried honey (though i have a weakness for taro to begin w/ so I'm probably kinda biased)
bakesale betty's
i go enough now that i know exactly what i want...
i'm just going to talk about chanda's sad experience there...the girl helping her basically forgot to put half the stuff in her bag, so she paid for & got back to toga w/ practically nothing in her bag...
that's it
cancun
i used to think this place was very regular, but since i spend my life at erick & doug's (cancun is downstairs) i have come to really like this place & its salsas...esp the mango & the pumpkin seed...it's just very clean flavors unlike other mexican places
& the dramatic reminiscing can now commence
