Hood 41 farmer married 14 yrs Ella O. (wife) 29 married 14 yrs, 3 kids, 3 living Sewart (son) 10 farm laborer Minnie Lee (dau) 8 Allen W. (son) 2 Bessie or Bubber was born after this census and she had another brother Barney I remember Aunt Minnie and one of the brothers............... but I don't know if it was Barney or Stewart. He went by another nickname that I can't remember. He had a metal plate in his head from a war. This may have been Minnie's husband but I think it was Bubber's brother. On Christmas Eve, we would get to open one gift. It was usually the gift from Bubber which for a few years was a silver dollar. ????marriage. Oct 14, 1884 - Elmore Co, AL Allen E. Hood married Ella F. Shelton something didn't make sense. On looking further Ella F. Shelton is not Ella O. and A. E. Hood is not L. Wesley Hood although they may both have a given name(one of many) of Allen. Ella O. is most likely Ella O. Baxley daughter of James H. and Maranda Baxley. She was born abt 1871 and lived in Cold Springs, Elmore Co, AL. Ella O. Hood (which I think is Ella O. Baxley) died in 1943 in Elmore county. You should be able to get her death certificate to confirm her maiden name. DC #13002. Ella F. Hood died in 1934 also in Elmore county. Allen E. Hood died in 1915 in Elmore county. L. W. Hood died in 1924 in Elmore County. I'm not too sure what this guy's name really is. If his grandfather is A. A. Hood, then not only is he L. Wesley Allen Hood but is also Edgar Hood. Could be as one of A. A. Hood's sons had four given names - don't know what they are, it just gives initials. If Ella F. is Ella O. then she was inclined to fudge her age. In the 1860 census, she was born 1855. In the 1870, born 1857, in 1880 born 1860, in 1900 born 1871. Ella's parents are Dr. John M. and Cynthia. John later marries a Mary A.
