In this section you'll find out who's behind Turbined Creations, and a little bit about...him.
What is Turbined Creations?: Turbined Creations is a web design / logo design company that I (Matt Cormier) have been wanting to create for a long time, and finally have got around to it.
How many people work at Turbined Creations?: Originally there were suppose to be two people working here; my friend and me, but other things came up, and here I am on my own for a bit.
A single person web design company?: Yes...Which means I have to try a lot harder to even come close to competing with larger companies. The best part is that I don't have any assigned hours...I can choose to work on a project all night if theres a deadline, including Saturdays and Sundays, or take a two hour break if I need to.
How many years of experience do you have?: I learned HTML back about seven years ago, and have made easily over 25+ sites. Most were personal ones when I first started, nothing fancy or worth taking a second glance at. Last year I (NOT Turbined Creations, this was a project before I started this company, which is why I don't have a portfolio up) worked on Florida Aviation, which came out ok. I have a few months experience in Flash, which I want to build on (which is why I'm offering it as a service). As far as image/logo design goes, I have about three to four years experience at that, mainly personal projects.
So, exactly who is this person behind Turbined Creations?: My name is Matthew Cormier (I prefer Matt though...), and I'm an 18 year old graduate from Greater New Bedford Regional Vocational Technical High School where I took up carpentry as a shop. As far as hobbies go, I do web design (which I've turned into Turbined Creations..so it's not exactly just a hobby anymore), and I ride bmx flatland.
What is your ultimate goal for Turbined Creations?: If it happens to get larger, I'll be adding many more services. Eventually I want to include web hosting, but that may be far off, sorry.
Are you hiring?: Not currently. If Turbined Creations gets too big for me to handle, then I'll reconsider, but for now, I'm staying solo.
Since this is more like a self-interview, any closing words?: By now, I've probably scared away a few potential customers, but I just wanted everybody to know exactly what is going on. Anybody who wants web design done can easily goto a large company, or choose a small company like Turbined Creations who can't afford to have any bad ratings from customers, and will give that extra 10% in effort to give you the best possible end result. I'll probably put the first 25 websites I complete up in a portfolio on here, so it's also a possible traffic booster if you choose Turbined Creations too!
