Washing machine by Brooks Patent # 104,550 Norwich New York

A husky complete well built model, built for Mr Edwin Brooks of Norwich New York. Clasp that holds the clothes drum closed is the object in the inset photo. Mr Brooks calls it "a hasp and staple". Opposite a set of hinges that allow the cylinder to open and clothes can be removed.

Tag somewhat motheaten but attests to the authenticity of the model.

The crank,"furnishes a means by which the cylinder can be rotated within the boiler, when desired".Wrote Mr Brooks in the claim.
