DIVERSITY VISA LOTTERY PROGRAM
ANNUAL
LOTTERY BY THE U.S. STATE DEPARTMENT NATIONAL VISA CENTER
BEST KEPT
SECRET OF THE NEW MILENIUM!
The U.S.
Government approved the Annual Visa Lottery for Permanent Immigration into the
United States of America in 1995. This program is known as the Diversity
Visa Lottery" or DV-1. The next Lottery will close at Noon time,
Wednesday, November 6, 2002.
Each year
since 1995, the U.S. Government announces the dates in which the National
Center of Visas will accept applications for the Diversity Visa Lottery
Program. As its title indicates, it is a Lottery whereby 100,000 applications
will be randomly chosen by the U.S. State Department National Visa Center and
these applications will be given the chance to apply for Permanent Visa with
the right to reside and work permanently in the U.S. You will be allowed to
bring your spouse and unmarried children under the age of 21. Out of the
100,000 applications selected, only 50,000 will be actually given the Permanent
Resident Visa. You may apply under the Husband name and submit another
application under the wife name. Also, you may encourage all your children over
21 years old to apply on their own. More than one application with the same
name will be disqualified. Names are randomly chosen by computer.
Eligibility
1.
You or your
spouse must be native of a country that is eligible to participate in the
Diversity Visa Lottery. If you yourself do not qualify, you may use the country
where your parents were born. See list below of all countries that are eligible
and the few that are not.
2.
You must
have a high school diploma or the equivalent; OR you must have two years of
work experience within the last five years in an occupation that requires at
least two years of training or experience. (Remember, it is only either ONE of
the TWO requirements, High School or 2 years work experience).
The lucky
winners will be notified by mail from April to July of 2003. And the visas will
be issued in the year 2004, therefore the name of DV-2004 for the next batch of
applications. Only winners will be notified. The Lucky winners will be given
