From the point of view of Feng Shui, the fashionable appearances are not all that important.

What is taken into account in assessing the energy of the room are the structural aspects, the arrangement of key kitchen furniture, and the colors, textures, and shapes.

Exhaust fan over the oven/stove is highly recommended.

The center of the kitchen should be left open. No obstruction by a large table or Island or, cutting board.

Sharp knives must not be exposed.

The sink or regrigerator should not be next to the stove. (common sense?)
