Favorable ENTRANCE The front of your house is like your face. We all should give much care to this vital element of our hourse. Stright lines leading to the door are to be avoided if possible.
But... most of our homes have straight lines from the street. Entrance should face water. Feng Shui practitioner always advise not live in a house that as a body of water at its back.(The place of maximum solidity should be in the back of the house. Make sense?)
It is a good feng shui entrance to have a fountain leading to the front door.(Like the mansion in the movie "Sound of Music").

Not Favorable:
A house with 2 entrances. Entrance should be only one. If a private home has 2 entrances, it is like having 2 tongues.
Entrance area should be kept as clean as possible.
The Rock Garden in front of the house should be replaced with smooth lawn. (I know, I know, the rock garden is attractive.) Did you know that creeping vines are also no good? I was told that the vines affect the ability of the building materials to breath. Old castles in horror movies are always taken over by thriving vines. |
