Welcome to my work in progress.
If you want have questions or comments about this site or the Project, or if
you wish to tell tell me of your experience with a work from home program go
to the menu on the left side of your screen to contact me.
Working form home is something many people including myself
would love to do. I have tried a few thing and all have failed. So I thought I
would try creating a site that may be a reference of sorts of the many programs
found online.
My hope is that enough people that have tried the work from home programs
will find my site and leave some feedback. ON what works for them and possibly
why. And what did not work for them and what they did to try to make it work.
A little about me
My name is Mike and I live with my wife and 9 year old son. We come from a
really small town in Washington. I drive for a local garbage company that pays
the bills and keeps a roof over my head, but it isn't enough to get ahead in
life. So I decided to try a few of the work from home programs.
That brings me to the next the topic.
The Project
I have tried the surveys for cash. After spending days signing up to take
these surveys I finally got an email for an invitiation to take a survey. It was
a cinch. There was nothing personal. It was just as descibed to me while
signing up. Generic question often times having only to do with one product or
service. A few days later I would get another email to take another survey. I
think in the two months I was taking surveys. I was only emailed by two
marketing companies out of probably 50 that I signed up for. I spent hours doing
them over that two month time. At the end of each month I would hope for some
small reward in the mail in the form of a check. It never came so I ditched that
plan and swore off this nonsense for a while.
Now February comes around and I run across this site. I don't remember how I
got there but it intrigued me. It said free web store no selling, no
recruiting. I thought this was interesting and as long as it remained free It
couldn't hurt. So signed up. The system is automated so it really does do all
the work for you. of course there is no chance of commission for the free
service (of course) so I decided to go ahead and spend $10 for the silver
service which allowed me to change the prices in the store, and earn a
commission. Pretty cool so far.
There are a few ways to potentially make money.
1.Get lucky and have someone actually buy something from the store
2.Earn commissions from others signing up below you (as long as they sign up
for silver or gold service.
3.Use the emails they send you to pick stuff up for cheap and sell either to
people you know, in the newspaper, or take it to an auction house such as
Ebay.
I tried lowering the prices once. So I may have to lower them again to see
what happens however, I think anyone that actually goes to see the store
hasn't bothered to look inside. I didn't really expect anyone to do so
either due to the page layout.
Commission work from the downline (MLM type) When you sign up you will get
what is called spillover which is a bonus signup under yourname from
someone above you as a gift. It is not a voluntary thing it is taken from
them automatically when they get their first signup. This is how it starts.
There are to sides to the down line the left and right.. The left is the
sign ups under your name and the right is the spillover side. I watched
patiently for a week to see what happens as the right side grew to over 100.
then it was 300..On the 27th of February it was almost at 600 people on the
right side. But, There was nothing on the left side...My sign up side.
I started this on February 8th. On around the 18th I had an idea.
The idea works like this. You need three e-mail accounts a primary and two
freebies such as hotmail.com and mail.com. Something disposable because
you never have to touch them again if you choose not to.
1st. come up with three names for the store and take the one you like the
best for your primary email account. and the other two can go to the free
accounts. KEEP IN MIND there is nothing that says you have to spend
money, but if you want to make commissions of any kind spend $10 for the
Primary account which will upgrade the status to silver.. The idea is to
create the other two with the free accounts under the the Primary account.
the first one will be a gift the other will go to the left side. Hence,
starting the pyramid. Now this is just theory, and may not work, but
technically it should allow you to get spillover onto both sides of the
pyramid that pays you for the upgrades in service of other members.
I believe that I will not be able to make this work because I didn't
create the other accounts untill a week and a half later. Spillover is
only going to continue trickling down my right side of the Pyramid. I
would love to Have someone find this and test it for me and prove or
disprove my theory. the only other thing that may help is to advertise
but stay away from the market exchanges. yes they will bring traffic to
your store. The problem is that they are doing something similar already
and are not looking to sign up for anything alse. THAT would have nice
to know before I wasted $30. So now I am into this for a total of $40. No
biggie. After all, I have spent a lot more doing stupid things that were
never intended to make money.
If you choose to share your experience with me, your content will be
published on this site. So keep in mind, if you DO NOT want your name on
here change it!!
