My partner and I were sat one day wondering how we could generate a little extra fun money, when we received one of those spam emails... you know the type "Earn millions whilst sat on your backside at home". We were about to delete it, when we both had the same idea... and No it wasn't sending out spam...!!!
We've both been surfing and using the internet for a number of years and thought "Why not see if we could earn a few bucks using our own computers". We used the ever popular "Google" search engine and looked for home jobs etc... There were thousands of them, and some of them looked really dodgy...
Eventually, we were pointed by a friend to Fast2Net Australia, a very nice site that lets you buy two web sites to promote and sell various products... She was making fairly decent money for doing very little and she couldn't claim to be the other Mrs. Gates. After considering our choices, we chose Go2Xmax, a sex site (because, as we all know, sex sells) and Go2Emedia, which sells CDs, Books and DVDs. There were other choices but these sites suited us at the time.
OK... We'd bought the web sites, now what did we do? Well, one of the good things about Fast2Net Australia, is their excellent resource centre, which is a web page devoted to getting their affiliate members started...
The first and most important thing that they mention is "DO NOT SPAM" and that, being anti-spam advocates ourselves, suited us fine. After reading their do's and don'ts on SPAM, we now had to learn how to promote our sites to maximize the profits from our new Internet business. We had to drive traffic (potential customers) to our sites.
The resource centre has heaps of advice and helps you find techniques, resources, and important links to achieve the maximum amount of traffic possible for the least cost (if not FREE) and effort. We could duplicate all that here, however, that would take away all your fun.
The big thing here is to not be limited in your pursuit of traffic building techniques and tools. Always strive to learn new ways to cultivate customers. It is true, the Internet changes everyday, and we realised we had to keep up with those changes. Having our two sites wasn't enough for us... We wanted our little home business to grow and we wanted to learn what other opportunities are out there...
