Backup Age of Kings
Disclaimer
STEP 1
Okay, first
of all read the disclaimer
before you can begin. The next step is to make sure you have a CD-RW
drive. Now, you will need a special program to burn it, you can download
it here.
It is called CloneCD. It will get around the Copyright Protection on
the CD. This particular CD has SafeDisk on it. Now install the program.
When you are done installing, you must reboot your computer. Go ahead
and do so, then open the program (there should be an icon to it on your
desktop). Now, the question is do you have one or two drives on your
computer?
STEP 2
WHAT TO
DO IF YOU HAVE A CD-RW AND A CD-ROM
If you have one CD-RW and one CD-Rom, then click on the third setting,
which is Copy CD. Select your CD-Rom as the drive to Read from. Now,
when that's done, below are some settings for you to choose from. Make
sure "Fast Error Skip" is checked. If you cannot select it,
then sorry, you can't burn Age of Kings with your burner. After that
is checked, click on the icon to the right of the Fast Error Skip Options.
This will take you to advanced. Once there, select Read Retries of 10
and Error Correction: Software, if your burner will allow you to. Click
OK. Then, Click the "Next" button to continue. Now make sure
that your CD-RW is selected on the top of the screen. Then make sure
the option "Always Close Last Session" is checked. Once this
is completed, you may continue with the burning process by clicking
on the "Next" button. Go to step 3.
WHAT TO
DO IF YOU HAVE A CD-RW AND NO CD-ROM
If you have one CD-RW and no CD-ROM then click on the first option in
CloneCD. It is called Read Image to File. Click it. Then select your
CD-RW on the top of your screen. There are now a few options for you
to choose on your screen. It is imperative that you only select the
ones I tell you to. Make sure "Fast Error Skip" is checked.
If you cannot check it, then sorry you can not burn Age of Kings with
your Burner. Once it's checked, click on the icon to the right of it.
It will bring up the advanced options. In here, select "Read Retries"
to 10. Then set the Error Correction to Software. Click OK, then click
next. Now it will take the CD and put it on your Hard Drive. Once it
is done, go back to the main menu of CloneCD. Now click on "Write
From Image File," which is the second option. Now make sure the
option "Always Close Last Session" is on. Then click burn
and you are ready to burn. Now go to the next step.
STEP 3
If all was done correctly, then you have successfully burned Age of
Kings. Please make sure you have read the disclaimer below.
