Loving From Afar

Is it possible to love from afar?
To admire from miles away?
To send a kiss in a letter,
or a warm hug on the phone?

Can you truly send emotions over mountains,
or romance across the seas?
Not knowing wether you will get a return,
or even whether it is received?

If you cannot hug a memory,
or hold a vision tight?
How can you become attached
to a person you may never see?

How can you feel true love,
never meeting the recipient of your heart?
Not knowing if they know you exist,
or not knowing if they exist themselves?

So, is it possible to love from afar?
To admire from miles away?
If you cannot see your target,
but only feel them in your heart?
