A Funeral Director's Gift to the Living

Business trends and social standards are constantly changing.  In fact, our entire universe revolves around change.  But in funeral service, there is one belief that remains constant for funeral directors, and that is the undeniable belief that "funerals are for the living."  Every culture honors certain "traditions" for dealing with death  and grief.   There is a reason why we rally around each other during death.  It is healing, it brings closure, and it honors a life lived.

Today's healthier lifestyles and ongoing advancements in science and medicine mean people are living longer.  At the same time, our society has come to have less and less experience with the "dying process" than did our ancestors.  People no longer know what to expect when death occurs. They don't know who to turn to for answers when someone dies.  Our communities have gotten larger.  Not surprisingly, numerous support groups have emerged, helping people to find the answers and to understand their feelings.

Don't be afraid to ask questions concerning your feelings.   Your clergy, your funeral director, or your community helpline can lead you in the direction you need to take to help you through the healing process.  You need not be alone.  There are people and organizations that can help you.  Take the first step to reach out and help yourself begin to feel better.

We developed this web site with the hope of reaching out by offering a variety of resources which cover a wide range of topics and issues.  No two people are alike, and no two people grieve alike. Our links in After The Funeral and our Site Map can help you to  begin this process. Also, the links on the left side of our website can direct you to help.

We invite you to discuss freely and frankly with us questions you have regarding any and all aspects of the funeral including our services and fees.
Funeral Directors serve best when such service is based on a mutual understanding between them and those who seek their services.
